We just moved into a new build home and this product couldn't have met our needs better. While we don't use a crate often for our pup, it is great to have when contractors, pest control or cleaning people come into our home. She feels safe and it keeps her out of the way while they're working. It looks much nicer than a just a standard crate and is so useful in the entryway from our garage. We omitted one of the shelves so that we could keep a small lamp on the desk above the crate. If we need to contain our dog while we are away, she has soft lighting while she sleeps. The top of the desk has two outlets and two USB ports (so handy). We use baskets on the shelves for our mail and her medicine, grooming brush and waste bags and we also keep canisters right there for her treats. It has two drawers that glide very well and provide a place to keep our sunglasses, keys, etc. The whole unit is 31-1/2" wide x 23" deep x 73" high. The height of the crate only is 25". Our dog weighs 42 lbs and she fits nicely inside--plenty of room to stand up and turn around. Since our move we have put together several pieces of furniture and my husband said this, by far, was one of the best-engineered, solid and attractive pieces we have purchased. This new crate/shelf combo is a great addition to my home, impressed with how sturdy it is for the price! Build instructions were clear and easy to follow, and it looks great, thanks. Great space utilization, rather than having just a crate taking up floor space. Wouldn't recommend for someone with a puppy or an un-crate trained dog, the top gap between the crate and the shelf is large so wouldn't want an anxious untrained dog trying to squeeze through, my pups are cool with crates and don't care, they are very comfortable in it. ... show more

I have had this for several months now. It is a sturdy cage but the locks are not good quality. We have to push down and in on the door to get it to lock. It’s a good more stylish option for a kennel though!

Very easy to put together. Only problem i had was the fact that my puppy learned to climb and was small enough toget out the top. The space was too big for my chihuahuas at the top

I was able to put it together by myself and I love it since I can use it to put my books on and it not be an eyesore and stick out. I’m able to fit 2 pups in it both under 20 pounds. The only downside which isn’t necessarily the product’s fault is that one of my dogs is able to escape through the top gap of the cage since he stands taller than the other and is a notorious escape artist so if you have one that finds a way out of anything be aware of that. I’m grabbing material, probably wood, to get rid of the gap and all should be good after that. ... show more

Absolutely love this piece!! I have a 11 lb chihuahua and he thinks he has his own mini apartment in that kennel. It came with everything I needed to put it together, tools too! All the pieces seem high quality, the size was perfect, and it functions well. Definitely recommend taking out all the pieces from the box and laying them out - the beginning steps were corresponding with what was on top of the box, but I eventually had to dig through for other pieces as I went along. Personally, I don’t think it’s hard to put together and it only took me about 5 hours to put this together. ... show more

This item was easy to put together because everything was labeled. It took some time to put it together but it made sense. This is a very sturdy piece of furniture. One suggestion, put some different number tags on it for labeling the pieces. The little round number stickers were hard to scratch off. Also, how much weight will the top shelves hold? ... show more
