I saw the reviews and thought this would be a great inexpensive rug to place in a room, so I bought two of them. However, when they arrived, I stepped on it and felt almost like I was ice skating. They are very thin and in no way do they resemble anything remotely close to shag. I rarely write a negative review, but these are simply not worth buying. I bought 6 of these in hopes it would be safer then grandkids slipping on hardwood floor, these rugs are so slippery it has caused me to slip and fall, don’t wear socks on these unless you enjoy slipping and sliding, I’m so disappointed and out so much money. ... show more

The bottom has a foam. The top is shag but slick. But overall the rug is adorable and looks good in the room. I don’t think it could handle lots of traffic but for my use I’m happy Not sure how it will clean
