NOT for BIG people. Actually they should sell chairs made specifically for BIG persons - I would estimate up to 275lbs. maybe? But I wouldn't try 350lbs. Just believe they should make this same chair but with thicker heavier duty parts for people who are not Keebler elves :) Perfect for me 5'-6" and under 190lbs. So if your bigger than that you may find this chair less than desirable? Feels like a very nice drivers seat, don't play video games - but it's great for computer work. The ARMS of the chair were NOT easy to attach, screws difficult to align and screw in. I believe this could be a point of failure because proper alignment very iffy. Overall not a bad purchase. Could have been made with some sturdier plastic. Immediately noticed the arms were a little loose and the padding can get hard after awhile of arm rest. I went to lean all the way back and heard a crack, unsure if it was from the bolts setting in or the wood backing. And after about 3 months of use one of the wheels had bent the plastic it snaps into and falls out on occasion. My son had this chair less than 6 months and the wheel snapped off the base rendering it completely useless. I paid 120 dollars for this only for it to break. My son isn't even a big kid, he's about 5'7" and under 200 lbs so I don't understand how it could have just broken like it did! Don't buy it, waste of money. And it was a pain in the butt to assemble. Edit: The customer service team has been completely excellent. They sent me a new five star base, but Im having issues getting the gas lift to separate from the old base which broke, which seems to be a common design flaw with the plastic bases. So they offered to help me get a new gas lift and I am indeed okay with this as I can put the new gas lift on the new base and we can just pull the gas lift off the old base without worrying about getting the old 5 star off.
