This this is amazing! If you use a miter saw you need this! You will not need a bulky hood or box to put over your saw. I got mine today. EASILY installed it and went to work trying it out. It collects 99% of the saw dust. You can actually see it going straight in. To be sure i had vacuumed my saw before and there was virtually nothing after use. It fits perfect. Comes with multiple hose adapters. Look at the price to get a dust cover for a miter saw. Its over $100. If you build a box you will spend at least $45 on plywood and then have to cut it and build it (scraping more dust). This is cheaper and in less than 45 min your up and going!

This attachment fit my saw perfectly and works awesome. After having an extremely dusty miter saw station, my shop is now collecting about 85% of all the miter saw dust. I am very impressed at how well it works. A great solution indeed!!!

The best thing about it is you don't have the dust bag sticking out the back. It works great for 90° cuts on narrow boards. Angled cuts and wide and thick boards not so good. The rubber dust scoop gets caught and the blade cuts it. It is better at dust collection, but not as good as advertised. I'm staying neutral on the recommendation. I'm keeping it because I can have it closer to the back wall. Overall I'm somewhat disappointed.

Dust and debris collection went from 30% with OEM dust tube to at least 95% if not better with this dust collection port. I have found for even better results to make sure that the bag and filter in your vacuum is no more than 50% full. I have the big Shopvac with a ten foot hose. Installation was a breeze IF you already have a T 30mm bit on a LONG shaft. One of the two bolts you need to install back is actually inside where the dust collection happens. My eye ball measurement in length of shaft is at least 5-6 inches. Short shaft length on the bit will drive you crazy trying to reach the bolt and then secure it. If you don't have the length, buy one. This is one of the best modifications I have ever made to a tool. Highly recommend. For what it is worth I just bought a second one to have on hand in case Murphy strikes at a critical time in the middle of a job that cannot afford any downtime. Replacing the OEM dust tube is an option but one I would choke on. My health and lungs deserve the best.

Not sturdy enough for work use. The attachments are tight and difficult to get on. They have to installed at just the right position due to a notch. About the 2nd time trying to get a hose on it, the mounts where the screws go through broke making the entire unit useless. Once installed you HAVE to use a vac hose because it shoots the dust straight up scattered over a large area. Old attachment allowed me to either use a vac or the bag that came with it for when I am going to just cut a small piece or 2. .

Amazon delivery was quick and easy as always. Thank you Amazon! As for the dust collector: I am beginning with a 4 star rating. I am a professional woodwooker, and contractor and have been looking for good dust collection for my dw780 for some time now. It fit perfectly and was quite easy to install. The instructions were easy to follow and everything went together as it was supposed to. I have made 2 or 3 dozen cuts on my saw with vacuum attached and it catches 99% of the dust. Very happy with that! I wil be putting this to work on a large trimout project shortly, and will adjust my rating based on performance in real time application. I have noticed that it is designed with just enoght clearance to allow the installation and removal of thin kerf blades such as the Diablo series by Freud Tools. However, I use full thickness blades by Amana Tool, and cannot remove and replace my blades without removing the dust collector first. I will say that is a small price to pay for catching 99% of the dust coming off the blade. My second concern will be longevity. As with all 3D printed parts, I have concerns about strength. The weakest point seems to be the connection between the collector and the vacuum hose adapter. I will certainly be tying the vacuum hose to the saw motor to relieve stress on that joint, and hopefully avoid any breakage. At this point, it looks like it will be a great addition to my saw and very helpful in dust mitigation in a high end home building application. I will amend my review as appropriate after this job.

Ok for the adapters alone this is worth it. I now have them on a shelf on the wall because I can convert almost every too to what is needed! Now about the product, the fit is spot on, every screw fits correctly and it matches well. The overall collection is leaps and bounds better. I have a 3-D Printer and made my own design to capture more of the dust and holding the tube open better but even the slightest pop from a cut off end and I would be printing again. The rubber scoop fixes this! They even give you extra inserts for when you forget to set the guards right :)
