I just bought this so I have only tested it for a few hours. It ran great, low fumes, easy to use. I'm seriously thinking of buying a second one for my man cave and shop area. It also arrived a couple day earlier than suggested which was a big plus!

Pros: well packaged, fairly easy instructions (confusion due to missing tools and parts), pretty easy to move once wheels are on. Cons: part of the instructions call for a washer size that wasn't included even though it said they were. The battery plate needed to be removed with supposedly included tools, a size 8 wrench, that was not included, and a nut we had to supply ourselves. A grounding wire is not included. Unknown: we have not started it because we need to get a grounding wire, oil, and gas. The oil and gas I knew would be something we provided, but not the grounding wire. I cannot speak to ease of actual use, noise, etc. but will update this review after. ... show more

Easy to put on wheels and get set-up to run. One note mine came with a low battery so you may need to put the battery on charge for an hour, and once you turn on the fuel valve let the generator set without cranking it so the fuel can trickle into the carb. Once the carb had fuel and the battery had a good charge the Duromax 12000 fired right up. It is heavy about 230 pounds. Great generator for the money. ... show more

Bought this for my home which was setup for connecting a generator (propane and electric connection) Beware that you must have 3psi from home or it will not work which was my case. I contacted my HVAC guy and he said residential homes come with 2psi and 3psi and up are for commercial use. If you plan to use this generator off a portable propane tank it will work great. I am still trying to find out if I can get my house converted to 3psi. The HVAC guy said they install this type of setup all the time but he has never done this brand so I am guessing that the 3psi is specific to Duramax generators. ... show more

A unit you can count on. Will run your whole house. But stick strictly to propane gas. Never use gasoline. Keep your battery charge every six months or four. Do a breaking period of 6 to 10 hours with a good synthetic oil. And do regular oil changes there on.
