These DURASACK heavy duty sandbags have been incredibly useful for flood protection around my property. The woven polypropylene material is noticeably thick and durable - much better quality than the cheap sandbags I've used before. The tie strings are securely attached and make it easy to seal the bags once filled. I appreciate that they come empty so I can fill them with sand or gravel as needed without dealing with heavy pre-filled bags. The bags hold up well when filled to capacity without tearing or leaking. I've had them stacked outside for a few weeks now and they're holding up great against sun and rain exposure. The UV resistance seems legitimate. They're sized perfectly for creating effective flood barriers or erosion control. The material doesn't degrade quickly like burlap bags do. Seem to be well made. As this is my 1st experience with DURASACK, I can't vouch for their durability. A couple of the Tie Strings have frayed when tying but, not to the point they were unusable. I would consider and probably will purchase them again if needed.

They were reasonable and sturdy enough for my needs. Filled 12 bags less than half with 2 & 3 spade shovels of 3/4 gravel (sharp edges) to use as ballast for faux potted plants at end of driveway. They feel like they could definitely handle more. They will be exposed to the elements for some time so I’ll see how they hold up. Bags size was good, diameter was a bit smaller then I imagined but it worked perfectly for my needs all the same. Ties were also basic, would be nice to have a “quick clip” of sorts but then maybe I’m just over thinking it. ... show more

As far as consumer sandbags go, these are about as durable as you can find. They hold sand and have many a purpose. The stringy ties that close the top could be better but I just put a zip tie on also for good measure.

These sand bags are great.. They're big and hold a lot of sand. The tie straps are attached to each one already. I filled 14 of them halfway with sand to anchor down some privacy panels I'm using around my hot tub. They mold around the panel feet and cover the corners so no subbing my toes on the metal edges. Excellent value for the money to.. Easy to fill and versatile to anchor anything. Here in the deep South we get high winds and hurricanes, these will keep down whatever you want kept down. ... show more
