I used these instead of anchors or tent stakes while camping on the beach because they don't take up much room and with almost nothing. The bags are durable, they have survived 9 trips to the beach with no tears or popped seems. Some of the ties have broken but they aren't really meant to be reused like this. Nothing some paracord can't fix. They are also pretty each to clean. I just switch them around in the ocean and they come out pretty sand free. These are LARGE bags, not high-quality (like what I used in the Army), but much bigger. They'll get the job done as long as you empty them and store the bags once the emergency (or whatever) is over. There is a tie that goes through a hole in the bag; that hole will rip, so if you need these bags to hold the rated 50 lbs., get a grommet kit and attach a grommet. The product advertises 10 bags. I received only 9. Be sure to count the bags you receive. I deducted one star for being shorted one bag and for the tie-hole. Otherwise, I expect these bags to do what I bought them to do. ... show more

We have a trampoline and being that where we live the openness allows the high winds to whip underneath causing it to Mary Poppins on us flipping it. We put sand on the legs to hold it down enough to still be used and it worked great but the plastic bags would end up ripping when we moved them to cut grass causing sand to spill out in our field and making the bags not useful anymore. These bags work great to replace the plastic bags. We filled our bags half way (5 lbs) to make it easier to move them and to divide the sand for each U-leg to have 2 bags. They are still big / heavy enough to hold it down and they are strong enough to withstand the weather. There has been many days of loads of rain and bright sunshine pounding on these bags of sand and you would never have known. We have had ours for a few months now but I hope they last at least a year or longer. I would buy these again! ... show more

Though the ties aren't as heavy-duty as some we have used, the bags are durable overall and perfect replacements for what we were using. It was super easy to slip the old sandbags into the new ones. The color is nice because it blends in with surroundings.

These are durable bags that blend in well with nature. I actually use mine to collect rocks when I'm out walking in the woods. When I return home, I can set the bag of rocks between the bushes in my yard, and they pretty-much go unnoticed until I have time to work the rocks into my landscaping.

Our town, like so many, is enamored with allowing small homes to be torn down and replaced with behemoth homes and extensive paved areas... and there is no rule that says water runoff can't increase. So those of us downhill are getting regularly flooded now. The town has finally started thinking about this problem, but it's too late for us. We have permanently placed these sandbags in the highest flow area, and they are doing their job to divert water back onto the street. And prevents the town from using my basement as a reservoir. They have allowed us to avoid the expense and hassle of elaborate sump pump solutions. While they are a little hard to fill, they are holding up... it's been a year of use now and we leave them in place. I do wish they had come with an instruction of what sort of knot to use to tie them up. ... show more
