We just received this fireplace yesterday. The delivery team (2) rung our doorbell and brought it right into our front porch. After undoing the packaging we were both impressed with the appearance and quality of the wood. We love the Calvin Brown color, just as pictured. It took my husband about 2 1/2 hours to put together. His only complaint was that the 3 black square-topped screws (cable holders) broke when hammering in. They were still usable and he was glad they don’t show in any way and weren’t part of any support system. It would be good to improve the quality of these. Once plugged in the heat output was excellent and was quiet. This smaller size fits the space so well, but note its height for your needs. I like the top mantel - perfect for greens for the holidays or mantel decor. Once he removes our current, too large gas fireplace we’ll place this one. As this one is lower than the gas FP we’re hoping our TV doesn’t look too high so we’ll lower that. Love this fireplace and we’ll be watching the price and purchasing another our main bedroom in the dark color. ... show more

I was pleasantry surprised at the ease of assembly and the overall appearance. As for warmth, it pushes some heat but we haven’t had a chance to run it due to it being warm. It certainly gives the “farmhouse” charm due to its style and goes perfectly with the overall feel we were trying to achieve. Quality certainly isn’t high but I wasn’t expecting much due to the price. Overall I recommend for decor and perhaps a small room for heat. ... show more

I Love this fireplace!! It’s Absolutely beautiful. Works very well. No complaints so far. It puts out good heat. A lot to assemble, but I assembled it by myself. I’m 5.4 and female, so if I can do it, anybody can. Two ppl would be better though because it’s pretty heavy. It’s built Very sturdy. Great price for the quality. First - it looks great in our bedroom and puts out a nice amount of heat. It has several heat settings and a timer. When this arrived, the box is so heavy it needed 2 men to put it onto a moving blanket & pull it into our bedroom. The directions are very easy to follow. I laid everything out on the floor by Item Letter, then started assembling. You will need a screwdriver, which is not included. At one point I needed my husband's help to upend the fireplace. I got to the point of putting the mantel (top) onto the structure and the holes did not line up, no matter what we tried - probably warped in shipping. We struggled with it, then asked a neighbor for help. He pounded on the mantel & it fit into place! I had trouble pushing in the 3 plastic clips (Step 2) and one broke, but there were no extras. We had to improvise. Overall - it's beautiful, compliments our bedroom while heating, once assembled it's very sturdy but the individual structure pieces are flimsier than I expected. This is a very nice product. It took two hours to put together. Even though the directions are mostly just pictures to follow, it was simple enough even with just one person assembling. The flame is soothing to watch, controls are easy to adjust, and it puts out a good amount of heat. It shut down no problem when the room was up to temperature. It did come with one of the plastic logs feet broken off but I glued it back on without issue. Also due to where we placed it the outlet is directly behind the flame box. This causes the unit to not be able to be flush with the wall due to how far the plug extends out from the outlet. I even changed the outlet to a recessed outlet but still need another half an inch to get it flush. Lastly I added a drop in outlet to the top of the mantle so we can plug in lights, phone chargers, electronics, etc. It would be nice if that were an option when purchasing because I probably voided the warranty. All in all a very nice piece and would buy again. ... show more
