EDIT: I originally had problems with my mat when I first received it. The edges wouldn’t lie down and there was fraying on the ends. I posted about it here and within a hour, the owner contacted me about the problems I was having with my mat and asked for me to send pics so that he could see the problems to make sure it wasn’t a manufacturing issue. Not only was the customer service fantastic, he replaced the mat at no charge and it’s by far the best mat that I’ve used and owned. I will buy from these guys again and they have even more mats to select from if you want something even better. Great experience all around and I appreciate Kevin for all his help.

Just returned a competitor's mat because it came folded with a big crease down the middle that didn't go away. The other mat also left that golf mat "gunk" on the bottom of the clubs. None of those issues at all with this DURA-PRO mat! Came rolled up and laid flat almost immediately. Brushed the mat with irons and fairway woods several times and no residual on the bottom of the club whatsoever. An expected plus is all 8 pre-cut holes come fully "plugged". Each plug is a full cross-section of the mat that stays in place when moving the mat around. You just easily pull out a plug for a hole you want to use for a tee (I save the plug in the bag the ball holder came with along with the extra tees). Makes the whole mat look clean and plush. The size is just right. Plenty of room for a full driver swing. Across from straight edge to straight edge it measures 58 1/2 inches and across from point to point 63 inches. If I'm using a pre-cut hole to tee up for a driver swing, I'll feel like my right foot is starting to fall off the edge if my alignment is parallel to the edge with the tee in it. No problem, I just shift my alignment to the right and there is more than enough room for both feet. I like this because it keeps the mat from being bigger and more intrusive than it needs to be (very well thought out). Mat isn't cheap, but in this case, I'll say you get what you pay for. I can't give an informed opinion on longevity as I just got it today, but based on the eye and feel test it looks very durable (no gunk on club bottoms) and I have no doubt about the great durability feedback in other reviews. Great mat that you won't regret purchasing.

Very thick and beefy mat, but surprisingly light with a soft, squishy foam underneath. It holds real tees well. I upgraded from a cheap mat where the club would just bounce off the surface, and this is a huge improvement. I was torn between this and the Country Club Elite Real Feel (I have a short strip from them), but chose this one for the better value—very similar feel and quality. Overall, I really like it, with just two small issues: 1. When you hit it heavy, you feel a pretty sharp jolt through the club and into your arms—so I’ve been working on picking the ball cleaner. 2. The surface under your feet feels odd—they tend to shift or twist slightly as you swing, like the fibers give way a bit. Hard to describe, but noticeable.

I went with the octagon shaped mat for ease of rotating the hitting area. After about 2 weeks of about an average of 50 irons/wedges a day, this mat has held up great! Not a scratch actually.. I've also gone directly into the mat heavy a few times and the thickness/cushion of the mat has probably saved me from some pain. Great value for the money! Would 100% recommend this product as it's cheaper than its competitors (premium hitting mats), as well as arguably better to hit on. And if you're considering a lesser quality mat for cheaper, I would recommend spending a bit more to get something quality like this, rather than risk hurting yourself on an occasional bad shot.

There are endless mats you can buy online so I was overwhelmed with reviews and poor images. Wanted to get the right one for a fair price. My 3 X 5 mat arrived today and here's everything you need to know. 1. 3 X 5 is more than wide enough for your driver stance. No need to go for the 4 X 5, 5 X5. I'm 6 ft. 5 in. Even in a wide stance, I have 4 inches on both sides of my feet. 2. You'll probably want to drill two holes so you can move the tee position accordingly. One on each side. This is just so you can put the ball closer to your front foot while driving. 3. The mat is very thick, and cushioned just like the range mats at a golf course. You'll need this to avoid injury. 4. The turf seems very nice. I can't speak to durability because it just arrived, but other comments can. 5. My ball tray and rubber tees showed up at the same time as the mat, in the same box. I think because of COVID they warned that they may ship later, at least for me that wasn't the case. 6. I just unrolled it out of the box and it's already laying flat. Slightly raised up perhaps near the ends, but I'll stick a couple dumbbells on there overnight. 7. Took about 9 days to arrive. Standard shipping for a non-prime member.
