The set came in 4 different boxes. All the parts are solid and it would appear no corners are cut for making this basketball set. However, 4 nuts were missing for attaching the hoop to the backboard frame. Had to run to the hardware store for that. Instruction manual could be better but been pretty handy myself it didn’t take much to figure out what goes where. Once it’s all setup, it’s a beautiful set and seems very sturdy. This is for our salt water pool. Kids absolutely love this. Color is Dawson’s and built very study. I was missing a piece and called them. Some of the best customer service I have dealt with. If you are looking for a pool goal- this is a must have!

    • Very difficult to assemble; even more so with missing parts.
Spent $700 on this hoop, I wish I had never purchased it. Very difficult to assemble, the package was missing screws and locknuts, and when I tried to return it was told it was over 30 days. Rim and backboard fall forward if the ball hits the rim. I would not purchase anything from Dunn Rite and I personally won’t ever again. ... show more

I bought this used, from a friend of mine. I had previously used a $100 Walmart hoop which worked just fine, but it was easily tipped over due to the small water reservoir base. NOT the case with this unit. With the base full of water, it's nearly impossible to bring it down. I weigh 195 lbs, and can hang on the rim. That is PERFECT for dunking, but it also means that shooting is much nicer - the backboard doesn't sway back and forth with the impact of bank shots. Also, it is a regulation size rim, so you can use regulation size basketballs. Kind of a big deal if you're a basketball enthusiast. I just had family over, and they all complimented it, had a blast using it with all my nephews. Epic games of 3v3 😁 This hoop is built like a tank, and can manage everything you can throw at it.
