  • Nice tire
Size: 120/90-18
Perfect for mid-weight dual sport. Wider than other tires of the same size. Like 3/8 inch wider than TCK- 80 Rear. Haven’t used for front but perfect paired with tck-80 front 606 rear. Best combo for dual sport

  • You absolutely cannot get a better "dirty" dual sport tire - period.
I have ridden dual sport bikes since 1970 and have tried dozens and dozens of tires. The Dunlop D606 front and rear offer the finest mix of off-road performance, on-road stability, and overall durability. They really dig off road and yet feel comfortably planted enough on asphalt. Sure, they are noisy on the road, but no worse than any other "full blown" DOT knobby, and they work so well! Dual sport motorcycles are all about trade-offs, and the noise is a small price to pay for everything else you get, especially when you consider that the noise is about the same as with any other 90% dirt tire. And do they ever last! I ride my Honda XR650L dual sport like a bat out of Hell most of the time - on the road and in the dirt - and I consistently get 3,000 miles out of a rear and even more from a front. I am sure I could ride conservatively and get 5,000, but what fun would THAT be? Believe me, though I'm not going to name names here, no other dual sport knobby I've tried comes close in this regard, and I've tried most of the popular ones out there - even a few that cost more. Many have worn funny, or "cupped", causing handling problems long before I normally would have replaced them. Ok, so there are many popular tires from which to choose that are cheaper, but don't bet on them. Most will last less than 50% as long as a D606 and will not perform as well anywhere. Since discovering the D606 about 8 years ago, I have always considered myself to be money ahead by paying a little extra for these great performing, long lasting tires. Please do know however that I usually get what some of my buddies refer to as "all of a tire" before spooning on another one. I will just tone down my hard-charging ways a bit for the last 20% or so, that's all. (Ok, call me frugal ...or brave!) And this has always been true with every tire I buy, so the comparison is still valid. Look, I have been dual sporting for well over 40 years. I use my bikes mainly for weekend warrior-type trail riding, mostly on goat trails, hill climbs, and jeep roads - all sprinkled with rocks, mud, soup, ruts, roots, loose baby head boulders, as well as plain old hard-packed dirt. I usually must ride 50 and sometimes 100 miles of asphalt to get there. But that's not all I do on these tires. Occasionally I also participate in week long cross-country dual sport rides - mostly on deep gravel, desert sand, and everything in between. I have done in their entirety, the TransAm Trail, the Shadow of the Rockies Trail, and the Mississippi Hill Country Trail on Dunlop D606 tires. I also regularly do 300+ mile, local, Saturday country road rides. I have even done several 200+ mile, 70-80 MPH Interstate jaunts on these tires, so you can rest assured I am qualified to report on their performance and reliability in all conditions and terrain. I have also used them with spikes on snow and ice, pulling the kids on sleds back up the frozen street to the top of the hill. It was during one of these episodes that I suffered the only flat I can remember on a D606, (knock on wood), caused by using spikes with too long of a screw for the well-worn knobs. Bottom line: If you ride a dual sport motorcycle and tend to take your off-roading seriously, you owe it to yourself to try a set of Dunlop D606 tires. Thanks, Dunlop! A five star product for sure. ... show more

  • Awesome tire but it’s early
Size: 130/90-18
It wasn’t cheap , about 140 . Traction is good . I ride it on the street and dirt . Here’s the Question: how long will it last ?? It’s a great brand name . Time will tell 90% dirt 10% street ,D.O.T rated . What more do you want in a tire ? I read 3,500 -4,000 miles ? I’ll believe it when I see it .

  • Great value !
Size: 120/90-18
This tire holds up very well from street too dirt/gravel/mud . Have had it on my DRZ400 for few months now and we ride all the time . I go from work riding on the street too hitting the trails on my way home from work . This tire is super grippy in loose soil / gravel . Love the ruts this tire leaves when launching or anytime I need it to perform . Def recommend this Dunlop tire ! Would give 5 stars but haven’t had it super long as of yet . You won’t be disappointed ….. ... show more

  • Death wobble at 75+ on KLR650
Size: 90/90-21
This is a great off road tire. However, if you're doing any freeway driving to get to those dirt roads, be careful. At 70 to 80 MPH the front tire would begin that catastrophic wobble on my KLR650. I never let it get away from me, but it greatly reduced my confidence in the bike. Taking minor bumps on the freeway, or passing a big truck, would start the wobble. Often, I would cant the bike to stabilize it while in heavy traffic instead of slowing down. Having a pillion on the rear Dunlop tire solved the wobble at high speeds, surprisingly. But, while solo, other riders would watch me constantly correct the bike, even before the noticable wobble. Replaced it with a tire that stays correct to high speeds and dampens the wobble instead of how this tire amplified it. ... show more
