The media could not be loaded. I have no idea why everyone pans this product and in general Duluth Forge ProCom products. I have been fighting with two separate wood fireplaces for years. Smoke soot dust more smoke paint the place every spring because it is smoked out and all that after all the Chiminey sweep and nonsense is finished. I finally decided to change to this fire log set and had it installed today with a T hook up from the main gas line. It looks pretty amazing to me. I keep the flue open so the heat goes up the Chiminey and I enjoy the flames without getting lightheaded or too hot. The remote control that also dubs for a thermostat works amazing. I bought two of these and can’t wait to install the other one and get rid of the other wood fireplace that has been smoking up my house for the last seven years. I highly recommend this product. Highly confused by the one star review saying it does not work. Change the plumber and the gas company they don’t know what they are doing. I know so many plumbers who do not install the right regulators and don’t do a pressure test at the end to determine proper adjustments. There is nothing wrong with this product at least not mine and not to me. ... show more

    • Waste of money; no customer service. Forget trying to get any help if uou have a warranty issue.
Burner failed before the end of one winter. The valve that opens and closes for operation stuck closed. I sent the burner off for service or warranty replacement, never had it sent back. The fire logs themselves give off a toxic fume during the burn in then became extremely fragile as one of the logs on the top broke into two pieces. Complete garbage. Don't waste your money. Buy from a local reputable dealer. This isn't an Amazon buy if looking for long-term gad fireplace. ... show more

    • Looks good but doesn't work
Pilot light would not stay lit. The factory sent me a new thermocouple which didn't help and then a nozzle which didn't help. The gas company came out to check it and found that the supply was OK, hence it wasn't their problem. The seller issued a return and I shipped it back for repair or replacement 4 months ago and I still don't have a replacement. It was made in China. Trump was right, the Chinese are screwing us. And I can't even get the seller to fix or replace. ... show more

    • Unit has never worked , leaked propane fumes into house
Has never worked. We’ve had two separate companies come out and try to hook up the propane the control unit does not work. It leaks and cause the fumes to build up in house
