Much nicer than I expected! Easy setup and installation. I added extra black lava stone to cover the fireplace bottom fully, and Rockwool to create a more realistic look of burning embers in the front of the logs. The remote works great and is excellent when you have company and can push a button and OPAH! there's fire! What a mood changer! ... show more

I would give less than 1 star. The logs burned badly and sooted up my home. I assumed if a dial will turn to high it can be run in high but I may have been running the flame too high. I may have just gotten a defective log. It's a very nice set of gas logs. I love the remote. I wish it had remote flame lowering capabilities but it's still better than non remote. Also the thermostat is in the remote which works very well. Set the remote for 68 and it shuts the flame off at 68. The vendor has offered to replace the unit for me which I have accepted but then they reniged in that and stated after 30 days they wouldn't do anything. I received the logs just after Christmas and I turned them in as defective February 14. Yes it was over 30 days but give me a break. The ceramics aren't supposed to burn. Also all the cleaning we had to do if the house from the soot. There are 3 people living in the house and all of us have been sick since this happened. The soot is in every room, in every filter, on every ceiling fan and every portable fan. I feel they should have had better customer service but if this review costs them a few customers then that will work also. ... show more

Don't be too upset when you get this and open the log box to find out a few have broken. If you're lucky they haven't but unfortunately on my part 2 did. Customer service wasn't to serviceable but rather fortunately for me I had extra logs from the one I was replacing with this unit. It wasn't too difficult to put together even with the replacement longs. Works just fine too, gives some nice heat so far. Don't have it running too long yet but when winter hits it should do fine. ... show more

I can’t get it to work. After buying all the additional “necessary” parts (regulator, gas appliance hook-up kit, adapters and flex hose) I still can’t get LP gas into the logs. I got gas coming out of the line but as soon as I screw the fitting into the log set and turn on the valve, NOTHING. I assume it has something to do with the stupid plunger design in the log regulator connection. $50 in additional parts to try and make this thing work and I got nothing. I guess it’s time to re-box for a refund. You would think everything needed to connect would come with the appliance except for tools. Not with this set. The instructions even say, "only a qualified agency should perform installation". I guess that is because they would have all the additional parts needed to make it work. Edit: I'm going from 1 star to three because I finally got it to fire up. After removing and reinstalling the LP hose adapter (that I had to buy) at the unit going into the regulator three times I was finally able to produce fuel to the pilot. Another note to future buyers, if the remote sensor is not hooked up with effective batteries the unit cannot be lit. Being new to this particular log set I can only assume that dead batteries make the fireplace inoperable. You cannot adjust the flame with the remote. If it’s dialed to high it comes on at high. If it’s dialed to low, it comes on at low. Another issue with my purchase is that the remote has part of the LEDs not working. I only see partial numbers. This unit does not have an electronic pilot so the pilot is constantly on. But at $300 I figured this would be the case. Overall so far (4 days in) it’s an OK unit. Would not stay lit. While this fireplace looks fantastic and us very easy to setup, it would not stay lit. Would not light by using remote either. After repeated attempts, (8) finally talked to someone at the company who outright said it was an error on their part, a welding error. They needed us to send our base back to them so they could move pilot light as it was aimed at the thermal switch and reweld it in the correct position and then send it back. All the while saying that they have had to do this with numerous of the same model #. Why they couldn't just send out new units that worked correctly was my first question, to which they said, they had none, they had to create them. After waiting for 2 weeks for a return label for them to pay for shipping the unit, which never came, we initiated the return through Amazon and shipped it back through them and got a full refund. DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL FIREPLACE. SELECT ANOTHER FROM THE SAME COMPANY, JUST NOT THAT MODEL#. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Received this yesterday. Easy to set up. Just plug in. Pleased with colors and various settings. Heater works good. Also crackling sound has option to turn off. Three settings- loud to soft. Very pleased with purchase.
