I bought this to heat my living room and not the whole house when spending time in one room. I've had it running since 12-1-24, it's now 1-13. So far zero complaints. It kicks off quite a bit of heat so my furnace runs a lot less. I wish it was a 2 stage burner, but I knew it wasn't when I bought it so no big deal. The remote thermostat works well too. Would not stay lit. While this fireplace looks fantastic and us very easy to setup, it would not stay lit. Would not light by using remote either. After repeated attempts, (8) finally talked to someone at the company who outright said it was an error on their part, a welding error. They needed us to send our base back to them so they could move pilot light as it was aimed at the thermal switch and reweld it in the correct position and then send it back. All the while saying that they have had to do this with numerous of the same model #. Why they couldn't just send out new units that worked correctly was my first question, to which they said, they had none, they had to create them. After waiting for 2 weeks for a return label for them to pay for shipping the unit, which never came, we initiated the return through Amazon and shipped it back through them and got a full refund. DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL FIREPLACE. SELECT ANOTHER FROM THE SAME COMPANY, JUST NOT THAT MODEL#. ... show more

I did hire a plumber to attach this to the gas line… So I can’t comment about that being difficult or easy… The Logs are a little tricky to put in… There are four or five different models, and the configuration of placing the logs on them is a little different on each one… I didn’t realize it until about 30 minutes into trying to figure it out… My model did not come with The extra ember kit that you can put underneath it… But it did come with a box of like little stones… But nowhere in the instructions it tells you what to do. I looked at the picture and it seems like you put them at the base… It’s also not clear in the instructions how to initially light it… But if you’ve ever use the gas grill outside you’ll figure it out… The batteries were all included so that was great… You have to find a place to mount the little receiver that connects to the remote through Bluetooth I guess… So besides those little tricks and tips to put it in, I can tell you that I love this thing… It’s better than similar items at double the price… Wish they gave better instructions but, you can’t have everything… Once you get through the initial installation and work those little quirks out… You will love this thing. It’s also 30 inches wide, which is good… I have a huge Fireplace… If I could’ve found one 36 inches wide I would have… ... show more

This does a really nice job of heating my house. I love that I can set it to a determined temperature and it turns off automatically. I would have loved to give it 5 stars but the remote does not work properly. I purchased the unit at the end of October, 2023, and installed it the first week of November. I had a few problems with the remote but thought it was operator error. Since I started it back up again in November of this year, I've had a lot more problems with the remote. It seems like the on and off buttons are not connected properly because they do not work a lot of the time. I keep pressing it and nothing happens, and then out of the blue it works. I contacted customer service and followed instructions to reset and relearn the remote numerous times but it still is very temperamental. Customer service said I will need to purchase another remote - $70!!! Very frustrating. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. When you buy from this company there is no phone number for support. The only number listed tells you to send an email for support. No one will ever call you back. They only send emails suggesting things for you to try. None of the suggestions even worked. I highly advise anyone to look elsewhere to purchase you gas logs and heat related products. If the item does not work you have to figure it out on your own. My problem was a defective receiver for my gas logs. I purchased a new set of logs with thermostat remote from this company. I paid an additional $200 to have a certified professional install the logs. The logs worked for a few days and then the thermostat stopped working properly. The logs would turn on and then would not turn off. I came home one evening and the temperature was 80 degrees even though I had the thermostat set to turn off at 70 degrees. This could have caused a fire had I left the logs on all day. Then the pilot light would turn off intermittenly and of course the flame would go out. In the middle of a snowstorm and your brand new gas logs won't stay lit. After reaching out to this company about this issue do you think I got one phone call to help figure out what was happening with these new logs? All I got was emails suggesting things for me to try. Even after I told them to stop the emails and pick up the phone they still insisted on sending emails. I purchased another receiver from another company who was more than happy to help me troubleshoot. The receiver did the trick and the logs are now working PROPERLY. I repeat, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. If you get a defective product you are on your own. The video shows that the logs are still burning even though the thermostat was CORRECTLY set to turn the logs off at 70 degrees with a 2 degree variance. The temperature had reached 75 degrees and still had not turned off!! ... show more
