I’m so glad I purchased this. Very impressed that they actually do help. Our windows were drafty so I used this over the top and was extremely impressed with hour well they work. I wasn’t able to shrink them to window but that may have been due to the outside temps.

A couple years ago I bought a house that had previously been owned by flippers. I'm not sure why they did it but the back door is one of those all glass with an aluminum frame, like you see on older retail buildings. It's oversized too, the door is the usual height, but 40 inches across. Last year I put several blankets and some efficient drapes up against it in the hopes that would help. It didn't. There was always a breeze from that room, and it went directly into the hallway where my thermostat was, so the house was always cold in the back half but warm in the front half and my heating bill was terrible! At one point there was ice crystals on the inside of the door! I got the plastic this year. It's been a more mild winter, but my bill is still much lower after I installed this plastic than before. The shape of the doorframe made me think the plastic would rip, so I had to figure out an even larger coverage area than usual since I really needed it to adhere to the wall. I washed the wall with rubbing alcohol before putting the double sided tape on, and then followed the directions with the one change of hanging it lengthwise instead of horizontal. It covered the full area and had some left over this way. You can see it billowing out where there's obviously a breeze, but you can't feel that breeze. I would recommend using a heat gun instead of a hair dryer. The hair dryer did very little to snug up the plastic, but the heat gun, around 6"-8" from the plastic did a very good job. ... show more

It’s very easy to install, however make sure your door (or area) is free from dust. Overall this product is very good. It’s on our front door that’s used a lot throughout the day. Keeps the draft out.

The media could not be loaded. This can be difficult to put over your windows depending if they have blinds or not. We’ve put it on a few windows, but we’ve found it doesn’t stop much of the cold MN air from seeping in. It also leaves a slight dusty look to your windows because the film isn’t very clean. Not worth the hassle of standing there with a blow dryer waiting for the film to shrink. ... show more
