AGM Elite 2 running android 12. On the aforementioned phone it runs well. I've seen others that have had issues on older phones of requiring a reboot or unplug & re-plug back in to get it to work or just plain crashing. I suspect the issue is most likely old android versions don't have updated drivers as like with a pc ,without them you'll have issues. The scope won't work on my older android 9 phone as it says device not connected. That tells me there's a driver not installed. Drivers are what tells the os what to do. On the elite it runs great & continues to work well when i use other programs to see if i can get it to crash it doesn't. Even with other programs open & just leaving the phone for 30 mins everything is fine when i get back. To switch to side camera it requires a long hold on the chrome round button that's on the front cover thing where the scroll wheel for the torch dimming is.In other words that's where the controller is to get the side camera working. Visibility is good can even see hone marks on a small line trimmer inside the bore. Real happy with the purchase as i've always wanted a bore scope & can remember 30 years ago how dear they were long before mobiles. It takes good photo's. Is worth the money if you want a cheap solution to get you started before you decide to get a stand alone borescope tho i don't know why you'd bother, however i've never used one & as the saying goes " you don't know what you don't know " since i haven't then i don't know if a standalone is any better

I can't believe I didn't even know this existed especially since I love gadgets. I find uses for it almost everyday and now, so does my husband. It is so easy to setup and use. I am surprised by the low ratings on the app. I had a seamless setup. After you install the app from the playstore, you basically just connect the cord to your phone and it does the rest. I haven't experienced any problems with either camera. It's very clear and you can easily take a video or a picture. The only thing I've noticed is the tip of the scope gets a little warm, but I chalk that up to the very bright light at the end. This was a great purchase and I would purchase it again without hesitation.

The picture quality is kind of grainy, this isn’t the kind of camera to take footage with, but it is very practical for visualizing troublesome areas (like for a mechanic, repair person, etc), and feeds the footage to your cellphone or tablet with a simple app. There is a ring around the lense that has little led lights that are quite bright in close proximity. The wire is stiff. You can flex it, you can coil it, but it doesn’t really uncoil on its own. It holds the. Straightness or curves you put in it, which lets you really steer it into tight/crawl spaces. I gave it 4 stars only because I was actually hoping it was higher resolution to get footage from inside my craft laser, and it’s not good enough for a YouTube artist channel. But it is still handy for other things around the house. Just know your reasons. If you don’t need video quality to entertain, this is a workhorse and would be invaluable to any service tech.

It was super simple to set up, I just scanned the code for the app, installed it, and then plugged in the camera cable. The picture quality is great and has made me find excuses to inspect tons of random spaces around the house. The only confusion I had with it is that when looking at the camera module it looks like there is a second camera on the side, but I haven't been able to figure out how to switch to it in the app.
