    • The only chum bag you'll ever need!
I use this chum bag to fish for Yellowtail and other reef fish in the Florida Keys. I typically put 2 blocks of coarsely ground chum in the net at a time to keep a good flow of chum going which keeps the fish behind the boat. I have tried all of the cheaper chum bag options and I have to say, this is worth the little more money you would pay to own a chum bag that works well and will last. There are 2 big advantages of this type of bag, the first one is the size of the holes. This allows the chum to flow freely, even those bigger chunks which really gets the fish fired up and ready to bite the bait you present. The second is the durable floating ring. The floating aspect helps keep the chum in the bag and the fixed ring allows you to load the bag quickly and easily. Usually I don't even have to touch the chum block, I can just open the box and let it roll into the bag, keeping my hands and the boat clean. When you're finished at the end of the day, just keep the chum bag attached to a rear cleat and let the force of the water on the ride home give it a nice cleaning. Those cheap other bags won't stand up to that kind of abuse, but this one will! ... show more

This works! I have always used the cheap white bags you get at the same store you buy chum from. This works 10 times better. It has one tenth the amount of leftover chum stuck to the chumbag when you are done! I load 1 box of chum, i just a few minutes the paper unsticks from the chum and i pull it out of the bag and put in trash. Then just let the chum flow in the current. Yellowtail, ballyhoo, sardines etc. build ecosystem behind the boat. Well thats chumming but this bag works the best. I keep a 4lb lead weight tied to long hand line. every once in a while i un-cleat the line and send it to the bottom. then i bring it up. Chum block never comes out and i attract a whole bunch of both bottom and mid water fish. This bag makes it easy. ... show more

Perfect chum net. All the chum stays in the ocean and not stuck at the end of the net. Love this thing! Update 4/3/15 I have used it on a few trips now and its the best chum net i have ever owned. I took off while it was still in the water and realized a short while later. I turned around and there it was Floating! with 2 blocks of chum in it lol!!. ... show more

Fine product. Easy to use, store, clean, and fairly priced. My only suggestion would be to upgrade the tether string. I’ve lost two because the string has broken and it drifted away.

I strongly believe in chumming for grouper, snapper, kingfish, cobia, sheepshead, triggerfish, redfish, mahi, and all other fish. Pros: Easy to Load Consistent and continuous chum slick Easy to clean when done with no residue Reusable and long lasting more bites more bird activity behind the boat Con: Chum block will not last as long as traditional bag Will never go back to the the traditional chum/mesh bags. This is the best way to do it with the Raffield Fisheries frozen chum blocks you get at the stores. Get extra chum blocks. Worth the money. With the mesh was rubber coated for easier cleaning and smell. But at this price I may replace it more often.

Used two nights this weekend and I thought I'd use a lot more chum than I did...Frozen block lasted about an hour - hour and half in moderate current... I'm sure if the current was ripping it would do much quicker.. if your going to drag behind the boat at the end of the night to clean it i'd add a swivel to the line...I'll probably order another one for the other side of the boat or maybe one at the bow! ... show more
