We bought this for our 5 year old daughter to use on the iPad that she uses. The sleep feature works if you ensure that the cover is completely lined up. If it is offset by more than an 1/8", the iPad wakes. This is really no tenable for a child, even with the magnetic latch. We also discovered that the aperture for the charging cable is not large enough to account for the thickness of a charging cable. You either have to pull the cover to the side (not something a five year old is going to be able to do independently) , or partially remove the cover to plug in the cable (which defeats the purpose of the cover.). Ultimately, we ended up using a rotary tool to enlarge the opening slightly. Besides these challenges, the cover seems to be fairly durable and holds the iPad up well for viewing. ... show more

I replaced an older case with this one and it is very nice . The materials are top notch and the fit of the ipad in the holder is perfect. I would highly recommend this one. So far it seems to be holding up very well but it is relatively new so it is hard to say for sure. All of the functions work perfectly. The grooves that hold the Ipad up are a little shallow so sometimes it does slip down and the fold over buckle will block the screen. I love the design and colors of the Paris theme. However, I am disappointed that the entire front and back are covered by a sheer plastic which, when it catches the light, causes an extreme distraction to the beauty of the picture. Whose dumb idea was that? It looks like the whole thing is covered in small plastic squares. A fantastic way to ruin an otherwise classic and exquisite print. I did see what looks like white grains of rice on the description page, I thought these were to depict rain. I’m a daily iPad user so this case has gotten a lot of use. It allows my iPad to function without any limitations. I’ve had it for several months now and it has begun to crack at the magnetic flap. It still functions and closes just fine. I have an iPad Air and it fits without closing any ports or cameras. Only thing is, I would try to charge the iPad and the charger kept popping out.
