I had an old off brand miter saw that I somehow acquired or inherited years ago and that I used on various diy projects around the house. The locking device for the bevel angle was broken so it was limited in its use. Nonetheless I have struggled though and improvised various solutions. But with a larger project coming up that needed lots of cuts I thought it was time for something new. While shopping I came across this kit. In one day I did so much with it that it paid for itself. It is my new favorite tool. It is so compact, versatile and easy to use and store. That it potentially replaces several tools. The saw is great. But it is really the case and included accessories that are the star of the show. These quickly convert the hand saw into a mini miter saw and table saw with built-in rails, guides and clamps. So easy, portable and pleasant to use. Highly recommended even if you already have "adult tools". If you don't already own table and miter saws this maybe all you need to trim-out your dining room or install a hexagonal coffered ceiling in the master! Love the saw! Easy to use, quick to setup. I love that everything is self contained. Neat and easy to store, wish I found this earlier. So easy to Pop out for a quick cut. It'll work well for most of my small wood cutting chores. Ripped a 1X12 8' down the middle. I have a Milwaukee for my heavier cutting. It was hard keeping the vacuum hose attached. Hard cleaning dust inside the guard. Discovered that Bosch batteries work, I bought a set of two on special on Way Source. ... show more

I’ve never used a saw in my life. I’ve been wanting to do some work around the house and after teaching myself how to do the flooring in my daughter‘s room, I decided to make this purchase so I could learn how to add the trim. What you receive is exactly as shown. I really like how compact everything is and that I can fold it up when done and store it conveniently inside the home. It’s not bulky that needs to be out in the shed. The laser provides a nice guide, and I like the tools included to hold the piece in place. Now keep in mind this is not for large and thick pieces of wood. And really read the instructions to ensure you have a good first use experience. I did attach the vacuum after reading some other reviews stating that it doesn’t really work. I somewhat agree however it is good to use with the vacuum so you do not have as much of the dust flying around. Overall, an excellent purchase and I highly recommend for first timers like myself. Just made my purchase for a new miter saw system by Dremel. set it up and squared up the saw stop with my carpenter square and tighten down the blue screw. My my first cut and was skeptical. but the cut is smooth on a quarter in cedar hobby board. There was some fir left, but not severely so - I'm satisfied with that. took my square and it cut perfect. I know it looks a little off but the dark you see is on the square and not a gap so I am satisfied with that. the battery on this saw is the same as the Bosch battery and both are interchangeable with chargers and the batteries. As I have a Bosch battery drill and a Dremel battery rotary and now this station, I have enough power to last me all day if need be. This is a "plastic" but I still think it can be set up on a commecial job site for sawing trim or quarter round where you can drag it around with you. ordered the woo cutting blade as well - the drawback here is a 2x4 requires multi cuts. Some call it a hobbyist tool and it is definitely that. I think it is a little more than that - just my opinion. Bosh is expanding their line of tools for the Dremel customer as Dremel is part of Bosch. I am down grading my shop - this is my new saw to make smaller crafts and boxes.\ I'm thinking they will expand the Dremel lineup even more.     • Dremel "blueprint" complete full kit; portable saw station; no home should be without this setup!
I finally bought the Dremel blueprint & an extra blade & battery. Lol, waiting for the deep freeze to end to use it on my Tiny Home in storage (battery operated is a plus). The Dremel blueprint is the answer to my prayers; no longer do you have to buy oversized expensive equipment to do finishing work around the house. This portable saw station has a small footprint with everything you need, self contained & easy to use in it's own case with a handle. I'll be able to use my old bed slats for my bay window seat and cut wood to put on the wall next to my bed; I can now custom cut legs for my floating end of kitchen counter, also make custom shudders for the windows. Everyone has projects that they want to complete, but can't afford the equipment or be able to store it; too expensive to hire someone to do it for Ya. The price points on this set up is wonderful, and that's why no one should be without the ability to create, and or fix what is needed done without breaking the bank. 100% Recommend! ... show more

    • A perfect tool set for people who have limited space!
I just received this a few days ago and my space is small and compact but I wanted to expand out my tool collection to do more with my projects but remain within the space I am aloud to work, This little kit is perfect if you are working on in home projects and DIY projects and needed an alternative to larger tools. Yes it can't replace a full sized miter saw or table saw but that is not what this item was designed for! It was designed for people who love the hobby but have limited space! Easy to use, great value for the money, cuts are clean and it does what is needed! I can't Quote the battery life because I have not used it all day and ran it to the ground but for what I have used it for, its perfect! Edit: **highly important** I did forget to add something and its quite important, the first day I took this out of the box I had no idea they preloaded the battery into the saw, I am often quite careful with everything I do but as I was looking over everything by the bad luck of everything I hit the press and trigger the way I was handling it and the saw jumped to life! The battery was preloaded?! I really didn't expect that, Did I get a returned item or is this how they packaged it? There was tons of room to put the battery someplace in the kit, but nope it was in the saw! If I was absent minded or not paying fully attention I could have sliced my hand or leg pretty bad. Again I DID NOT do this and I am fine but anyone reading this just be careful when you get yours! ... show more
