Loud with four 7581 tubes going to it. I purchased the 8 ohm version to go in parallel with a 12 inch speaker. Both have metal screens in a slant cabinet. Sound is good with a piccolo bass.

I would have given them 5 stars but the mounting points are not at 5.25 inches so I had to redneck them into my cerwin Vega cabinets. They are not bad speakers by a long shot and sound really good for midranges. I played different types of genres like rock, rap, and even some country music and it does really good on vocals and beats. I would recommend this to someone who is looking for replacement midranges for cabinets or just to have something that sounds good in a car Audio setup ... show more

I replaced a 5.25" speaker in a vintage cabinet with 12", 5.25", and 3" speakers. Although advertised as 5.25", the spec sheet and tape measure show it to be 4.72". I had to make a wood bracket, screw the speaker to that, and screw it all into the hole for the speaker in the cabinet. So beware of the size of the hole in your cabinet. With that, it is installed and crisp and clear. Happy to get rid of my crackling 50 year old speaker. ... show more

Have 4 of these on a mono Stetsom 1600. But I have 2 other 1600’s to run 4-6.5’s and 2-3 inch tweeters and an 8k for my subs ran on a 350 amp alternator and 2 XSpower D7500’s with power distribution blocks to run 4 runs of true 0 gauge power and 4 runs of ground wires. These loudspeakers are AWESOME
