Back way off on the bass (crossover) or they will breakup but they need power to achieve any reasonable db level. Will have to add eq even though I prefer to keep everything flat. They are great looking speakers and they are visible so I bought them for that reason and hoped they would perform better.... ah, no. They did not. For the price they are perfect. BTW, they come with a gimmicky rubber cover on the magnet, had to cur it off to install ... show more

These sounded decent for the money when first installed. After about a year they started sounding very "crunchy" or " like static". I just pulled these out today and found the speaker cones have warped. As music is played these cones move and with the cone being warped the movement causes the static or crunchy sound and they sound horrible. These probably warped due to the heat here in Texas but I have owned many other speakers which this has not happened to the cone. I would not recommend these speakers until they change the material which the cone is made out of. ... show more
