This tarp is perfect for covering my sky dome tent. It's light weight but keeps out the wind, rain and dust. I ordered another one for my other tent as I am living in 2 tents side by side. The open air roof creates many issues and these tarps are perfect.

I've used similar tarps for the outer layer covering my boat for several years now. Usually, they hold up thru the CA winter (some rain, wind, and sun), and are ready to be thrown out by about the first of April. This year, the tarp lasted ONE day. It seems to have torn during a bad wind storm along a seam in the tarp (about 8' from an edge). It tore lengthwise about 20' worth of the length. It was a big storm with high winds (maybe 60 mph gusts). I contacted Amazon and got a replacement tarp. I did have to send the damaged one back which is painful trying to get it folded to fit into a small-ish box. The Amazon return process was incredibly simple. I took it to the UPS store; the guy scanned my code, and took the box. No questions, no muss, no fuss. the replacement tarp is holding up as expected. ... show more

Evidently medium duty is relative. This tarp tore on every slightly sharp surface it came in contact with when trying to put it over our trailer. (Those corners were all padded with duct tape in double layers prior to putting the tarp on by the way). Then when I went to tie it down every single grommet tore loose with the slightest pressure from the rope. Total waste of time and money. Don’t bother! ... show more

This tarp is thin, but looks good. I hope it will last the year that other reviewers have experienced. Tarps are expensive, especially good thick ones. If you need one for the long haul, I doubt this will do it, but seems ok for now.

This tore on the first day with a light wind. I think it'd be great for covering a wood pile or something like that, but anything where wind can get under it it doesn't stand a chance.
