This is extremely thin. I do not have a caliper, so I cannot measure exactly how thin. It is advertised that the overall size is smaller due to the folded and sewn edges, but it is so much smaller, it should not claim to be close to 5'x7'. Perhaps 4'x6'. This tarp is exactly the size I wanted, but it's definitely lighter than medium weight. I took a star off because it's so light weight, but otherwise it's good. Will see how it holds up over the winter.

I used this tarp to cover an older giant Tupperware box that holds my pool cover during the summer months. My shed is brown so I chose this brown tarp so it wouldn’t be such an eyesore behind my shed. I’m impressed with the quality of this tarp and it seems to do the trick!

My 5x7 is pretty much 5x7, as advertised, no problem there. I would call the weight (7 mils thick) LIGHT rather than MED, but as such it serves my purpose well. It will need several tie downs to stay in place against winds and rains. Tarp clips might help you configure your tarp to whatever you are covering if the grommet spacing is not aligned to your needs. I ordered the 5x7 to cover our sandbox which is 5x6 but when I took it out it was too small. I measured the tarp and it was only 4.5x7 so I’m sending it back. Also it’s very thin. May last a year through our summer and winter weather but I’d rather pay more for something that’s thicker and will last longer. ... show more
