We were gifted some fans with the globe light on it. Installed it and instantly regretted it. The dome had a fixture for 1 lightbulb, that’s it, so even with a really bright bulb in it, it barely put out any light. So had to find something better. And this one is much better! The LEDs are super bright. I was blinded for a good 5 minutes when I turned it on with the cover off and looked directly at it like an idiot. The hardest part of the install was taking the disappointing fan down first. Once that was done, this went up in just a few minutes. I got the adjustable version and there a 3-way switch inside it you can access while installing it to set the light temp (4k for me). We have a very similar model of another brand in our hall and bathroom, and this one feels more substantial and better quality, and yet was cheaper. And the others aren’t adjustable. I don’t have it hooked up to a dimmer switch, so can’t speak to that feature. But extremely happy with this purchase. ... show more

If you like your kitchen flooded with white, bright light this is the fixture for you. I need it bright because I do my reading and crafting in my kitchen. It was so lightweight to put up but looks very nice. You'll save money over time as it is LED and you won't have to buy or change light bulbs.

The light is very bright but the included washers are too large and do not fit through the holes on the light. You are supposed to install the screws and washers on the junction box first, then line them up with the holes on the light and rotate it. This thing is redicu-bright. It's absolute overkill and I love it. Construction and look is much better than expected with for the price paid; btw price of this unit was almost same as bulbs needed for unit it replaced. Seriously though, this thing is bright.
