    • Don’t buy this
Color: Grey
Yeah, I got this drone last Thursday. I played with it a lot got it to cover. I don’t recommend anybody taking this outside and playing with it on the concrete. I would take this trim to the park and play with it and I had such a fun and wonderful time with it and the camera fell out. I had to re-glue the camera with superglue. ... show more

CLEARED FOR TAKEOFF: +Easy one-key takeoff and landing +Responsive physical controller +Calibration corrected the initial drift +Three removable batteries +Secure phone holder +Integrated propeller guards +Helpful landing pegs +Cute blue LED eyes +Best performer of three we tested TURBULENCE: -App controls have a slight delay -Grainy camera footage -Light wind pushes it around -Controller requires three AAA batteries -Charging light turns off when finished instead of turning green to indicate a full charge -No advertised memory card or handbag included -Drone shows V8 markings but listing says V86 FINAL APPROACH: This drone measures approximately 6 inches wide by 5 inches long by 2 inches tall. Out of the three similarly priced beginner drones we tested, it was the best flyer and the most compact. It initially pulled toward the rear right, but the leveling button corrected it and the rest of the flight was smooth. Takeoff and landing were easy, and the physical controller was much better than flying through the WiFi UAV app where the controls lagged. The app connected fairly easily, though it took a second attempt to get recording figured out. The glowing eyes coming toward you are cute, if slightly intimidating. Expect a beginner drone that operates more like a toy than a serious camera drone. The camera is grainy, light wind can carry it, and the controller requires three AAA batteries. The charging light simply turns off when finished, which doesn't indicate if the wire came loose or the battery fully charged. I also did not receive the listed handbag or memory card, and both the drone and box say V8 despite the listing saying V86. Even with those issues, it flew well enough that out of the three we tested, I'd consider this the best of the lot. ... show more

    • As a toy it's okay does randomly go to the ground on full charge
Color: Grey
Review Image by Amazon Customer
I was not expecting a high end drone and compared to others in this price range it's okay. You have to pair the drone with the controller each time which is kind of a pain but flying it inside (so no wind) it hovers okay with the occasional uncontrolled drop to the floor. When flying it's again okay and moves around easily but again it will just drop to the ground every once in a while. It doesn't crash (as long as nothing is under it) the propellers are still running so it slowly goes to the ground. It's very small but kind of fun and not the worst value for the money if you look at it as a toy. It's not very powerful and I would think a slight breeze would make it very hard to fly but as a toy it's kind of fun. The quality isn't great though. Like I said it does hover which others in this price range I have had cannot even do that. It also flys okay until it just randomly goes to the ground. Overall not a great value for the money but as far as a toy it's better than others I've tried in this price range. ... show more
