I have the 61 version of this GPS. The differences between the two models are minimal, except I find that the 65 'auto zoom' feature seems to zoom in more closely than the 61 making it difficult to see what's coming at you. This is not my first GPS and from now on, I'll use Garmin GPS systems : they're robust, they have great map details and interfaces. I bought this product refurbished and have to say I'm a little disappointed from the vendor ( isave renewed ) for not including the car charger with traffic receiver included (as Garmin's website indicates that it is a standard accessory ), so I'll have to dish out the extra money to have that function in my GPS. ... show more

Excellent refurbished product, looks brand new! Works pretty well, but the "drive" smartphone app isn't great. Garmin still has issues with wierd routing occasionally (off and right back onto freeway, different routes to and from a destination.) Late voice prompts for turns sometimes. Not unhappy with it, but it's the same issues my old Garmin models had. Phone apps are more accurate but this GPS worked GREAT in the mountains with no cell signal. The GPS has a large screen, works well enough, and frees your phone up to be a phone again! ... show more

I was using a tablet with a paid app for years. Navigation kills both the tablet's batteries and tablet itself (due to intensive energy consumption), even if it's charging permanently. After killing 2 tablets, I bought the Garmin. The Garmin has better software, better interface, better sound. I like the ability to connect phone and speak via Garmin. ... show more

The voice recognition can be difficult to initialize. It works best if you aren’t moving. That’s why am only giving it four stars. While talking on the phone through my car speakers, the GPS tends to kidnap the signal. You must mute the handset in order to recover your conversation through the car speakers. This is annoying and bothersome and I wish Garmin would fix it. I don’t want my phone calls going through my GPS. You can’t even hear the person on the tiny speaker. Graphics are amazing. I know these are listed as refurbished, but my GPS looks brand new. The first one I ordered never made it to my house, but I am glad I gave them a second chance because the product is great for a great price. Ordering the item was awful, but the final product is great.
