My daughter had surgery for peroneal tendon subluxation, and is unable to be weight bearing for a minimum of 6-8 weeks. If you've ever had to use crutches for an extended period of time, then you know of the pain and discomfort that comes with using them ALL day. Crutches really hurt for long distances, and are very slow. They also aren't always stable it the ground is wet, uneven, or limited space. Having this chair has allowed us to shop, go to the farmers market, go on walks, not have to worry about parking far away etc. This really is a great chair. It is very sturdy and comfortable. It does take up a fair amount of trunk space, but it fits in my Honda civic and is easy enough to get it in and out. The foot rests come off and on very easily. I like that my daughter can wheel herself in it, in addition to being pushed. She is tall (5'10, and about 160 lbs) and finds it to be very comfortable, easy to get in and out of, and not too narrow (of course she is young, flexible, has good upper arm strength and the use of one good leg). I can't accurately say how this would feel for someone with multiple mobility issues or who is confined to it for very long and extended periods of time, but I will say that she sat in it for a 3+ hours straight at a ballet and felt fine. For us, who will be using it temporarily, it has been well worth it. Renting a wheelchair for 6 weeks would have cost at least the same if not more than buying this wheelchair, and now we have it if we ever need it again. Her best friend's grandma will be having knee surgery soon and we will lend it to them. Also, depending on you injury, you can buy the other type of foot/leg rest that extends for this model, which is fantastic. We have been using this wheelchair as needed now for over a month, I can say it has definitely been worth it for us. AND, you could always donate it once you no longer need it which is a nice thing to do. It would have not cost you more than a short term rental would have, and you could help someone else in need who might not have otherwise been able to afford the expense of a rental for themselves. win win

Recently fractured my tibial plateau, was put in full metal leg brace from ankle to mid- thigh with no bend. Was told I could absolutely not put any weight on leg for 4-6 weeks. Tried using crutches and that was not working for me. Took a chance and ordered this chair, it was a God-sent. It’s easy to use on hard floors and carpet (takes a little more effort but not bad at all). Was assembled in less than 20 minutes with ease. Very sturdy and comfortable. I’m about 5’8, 215 pounds and it’s just the right size. Folds up easily for car travel and the breaks hold it very steady for getting in and out. Fits through all my standard doorways (bedroom and bathroom)and I can turn direction very easily. Am now confident I can follow doctor’s orders and keep the weight off my leg.

We got this for our trip to Alaska after an unexpected illness made walking long distances difficult. We needed a light weight chair as we would be packing it in and out of cars along with luggage a lot and we wanted narrow to be able to fit through a standard cruise ship room door. And it fit those needs great. But my big praise for this chair is it’s durability. This chair was AMAZING! We took it on uneven sidewalks, down gravel roads, and occasionally on rocky trails even and it has help up amazingly. My goal was for the chair to just hold up for the trip, but it has stayed in great condition and we’ve used it many times since. Would highly recommend for durability. I’m about 5’4” and 120lbs and I have some space in this chair still, though it would be too narrow for anyone with large hips. The only mild downside was that the handles are a bit on the low side for my 6’2” husband- he has to lean over a bit to push me. Would probably be perfect for a pusher 6’ and under. But even with that, it’s still been great. (My husband was the one who encouraged me to write this posit e review so it couldn’t have bothered him that much haha.) overall, great price for a very durable and comfortable chair that is compact and light.

The Wheelchair is well-made and was delivered in a couple of days. BUT it is heavy since it is not made of aluminum or other light materials instead of steel. Many complain about the seat width, but for me (over 6' tall), it was perfect. The seat depth, however, is much too short and the height of the seat would be perfect for someone under 5'5" tall. It is also ridiculously low, so if you are over 5' 3" forget about using the foot holders unless you want your knees around your chin.

This wheelchair is a great buy!! It has become a lifesaver for us, allowing me to participate in family days out and trekking through airports (my bucket list travel) while recovering from major surgery and in the midst of heavy chemotherapy. It folds up nicely to store in the trunk of our car. It’s easy to set up for use - 10 seconds or less.

I love this wheel chair. The handles fold down and it is really light weight. Great for putting in the car. Really compact. It is comfortable as well and much smaller width wise. Easier to go thru doorways so you don't scrape your knuckles. I bought this to be able to put on an airline for my vacation. My old wheel chair could not be accommodated because it was too tall for some of the smaller airplanes. Never realized this was a problem until booking a flight. The wheel chair is being loaded into the luggage compartment under the plane. It seems width and length are not the problem it was the height. My advice, make sure you check with airlines when you book a flight in both directions.
