  • Really good rolling walker with a seat
Size: Standard Color: Red
I have used an earlier model of this walker for years due to back pain.Sometimes I feel like the pain in my back is so bad I have to sit down immediately. It is nice to always have a chair with me. It is also nice for carrying boxes too. My husband recently needed a walker to prevent falls. I wasn't sure he would use it very much so I got him a less expensive smaller one from a different brand. Turned out he really liked it and felt safer using it. The problem was the wheels. They were about 5" in diameter and maybe an inch wide. The wheels got stuck on the threshold of our front door and in the crack at the front of the building elevator. He got very frustrated trying to shove the wheels over the obstructions. So I did a search for the brand of walker I have and found this one. He really likes it. The front wheels are big enough they roll right over the things his old walker got caught on. The hand grips can be adjusted for different heights but his tend to not stay where we set them. I have reset them twice and I noticed yesterday they had slipped again. I will have to see if there is something I can tighten. The brakes are good. The seat is comfortable but he does not use it very much. I like the bag on my older model better. Mine is rather rectangular and holds more. His is shaped like a large fanny pack and doesn't have mesh like mine does. You can't see what is in the bag as easily but some people may prefer that for privacy. I use the bag on mine all the time so I don't have to carry a purse. Both models have zippers on the bags but mine is bigger and easier to get into. I really like the way these rollators fold up. All you do is give a strong pull/jerk on the handle attached to the seat. The seat folds vertically and you can squeeze the sides of the seat together until it clicks and it locks in place to make it easier to lift up and put in the car. Then when you get it out you spread the sides of the seat until it locks in the open position. Very easy. I would recommend this brand to anyone looking for a good walker that rolls and has a comfortable seat, is easy to lift and stores in a narrow place. ... show more

  • Version 2.0 and I love it!
Size: Petite Color: Black
As a younger person living with multiple sclerosis, having to use a Rollator is about the last thing you want to have at my age. I have been using one of these (what I will call the older model) for the last eight years and have absolutely loved them. I have multiple. I keep one in the car and one in the house. They get extremely heavy use being that I teach full-time and use it at school. I get asked so many questions about it no matter where I go and always sing its praises. I should be a rep for these people because I could’ve sold at least 100 of them by now. This is the latest model and has some new features. I really like that the pouch is not webbed, but an actual bag which gives you some security when keeping stuff inside. It’s also raised a little bit higher so the bag won’t get caught in the front wheels when you turn, you also have three options to where you want to keep it on the device. The seat is a little bit higher than the older model which just feels nice, not like you’re sitting on the ground. The ride is smooth just like the other model but the backing on the seat is a little bit different and I’m curious to see how that feels over time. Still lightweight and easy to handle in and out of the car. I am only 5 foot 2 and have owned the petite model in all of them that I purchased. I’ve never tried the standard size and certainly don’t need the tall size. As a young person having to use one of these, I cannot recommend it enough. I can’t speak to its functionality for an older person being that I’m not one, but as someone who is very ambulatory and still moves relatively quick, other than having terrible balance, I don’t know how it would be for an older person to use. I purchased the color black because it suits me the best. It does come in cool colors and I bet you those look great too. $200 for one of these I think is a steal. Don’t hesitate, it’s worth it. I will update this after a bit to keep you posted on my impressions. Again, I should be a rep for these people! Hey Amazon hook me up!!! Impressions after one month…. Works great feels good. In fact a little bit sturdier than the previous model. Brakes are great. Everything works really well. I just feel like they’ve completely upgraded the entire device still a fan. It’s worth it no regrets. And the new design of the backrest is spine actually feels more supportive. ... show more

  • Many advantages of the Tall size, The seat is higher and easier to stand from, for example
Size: Tall Color: Black
I had bought a drive rollator here three years ago for $250. These are not covered by Medicare. I saw right away I neded a taller one but neither the company nor Amazon would take the return. It wasn't returnable!! so I was stuck with it. It was bad for my already bad posture but I have been short on funds so didn't replace it. I saw this model someone was using and he liked it.a lot so on Prime day I got it for a slight 15% discount at $170 in Tall black. I was concerned with some reports here: wheels going wonky and coming off (my wheels were fine) the backrest coming off and people falling backwards (my backrest is fine, possibly because the tall size doesn't hit and catch the backrest when folded?), a report of it folding up when people sit in it -- one person fell as a result (but if you press hard with both hands on the front of the seat it will lock open and won't fold up easily. If you don't do this it WILL fold up if you sit on it or pull it), reported problems with the brakes (mine works fine); but the shape of the brakes is so clunky I can't hang many shopping bags on the handles as I usually do. It is also hard to unlock them; requires a lot of strength. I have a problem that when you raise height to max: both handles wobble. But it isn't noticeable when walking with it so I can live with that. The instructions are hidden in the pouch so I didn't find them when I needed them but checked here for movies that showed me how to raise the height. People like the fact the pouch can be easily moved to other positions or worn on your shoulder. I don't really need that but may take it off when it goes into a car trunk so it doesn't fall off. The original pouch from the other rollator wouldn't fall off and wasn't moveable and it was bigger. For me the smaller size and portability of this one aren't a big plus but others like it. There are two pedals on this model, one on each back wheel, to press with your foot to elevate the front. Having the one pedal on the prior was advantageous for curbs, door saddles, stairs and having two is not that important to me but a nice. addition. Not all rollators have this feature and it is a valuable feature. None of these do stairs well; they only handle a couple of steps but this one is a bit lighter so a bit easier to get up and down more steps. You really have to lift them, or someone offers to help. I wish they would do more steps. Note that while the front wheels are very large the back ones are smaller than my old model. Bigger wheels are advantageous for stability. A big advantage for me of this model is the added height for walking and the higher seat for sitting. I didn't use the old one for sitting much because it was hard to get out of; this one is easy to get out of because it is much higher. The purchase is worth it for that alone because a lot of waiting rooms have low seats and I really struggle to get up, so now I can use this seat, locking the rollator in place so it doesn't move when pushing off it to rise. I am 84 and need it because my balance is bad. I've used it several times now and have been very pleased. But be aware several people said the company doesn't replace problem parts like the backrests that fall off. This is a big negative if problems appear after the return window closes. I still like this one very much though and do recommend it. ... show more

  • The Drive Nitro Sprint Tall Black rollator is a high-quality product. Thank you drive medical.
Size: Tall Color: Black
I needed some help with my mobility due to hip issues. I spent hours and hours on Amazon and Google researching rolling walkers, more accurately described as Rollator's. I went to a medical supply store and they had the Drive Nitro Sprint for $450. It fit me perfectly, but I wanted to think about it. When I saw it on Amazon for $199 I was very interested to get that one. Lots of good reviews and a few unhappy customers also. It arrived yesterday and testing it in the house on tile floors was amazing with solid performance. After I received it and inspected the item I was happy it ilooked like it would work. I ordered the accessory cupholders, two of them, and also the cane holder. I was interested to take it outside so today I went to a local city park ìtrail with asphalt pavement. I loaded the carrying pouch with electrolyte drinks and attached one of my trekking poles to the cane holder as an extra feature if I need it. I went about 2 1/2 miles out and returned 2 1/2 miles for a total of 5.15 miles. The beauty of this was I could sit down every quarter mile or so and rest and have some electrolytes. There are no sitting benches on most of this trail. Yes the front wheels wobble a little bit and the handles extended to fit my 6'1" frame creak a little bit, but I was very pleased and happy to have this on the walk. It is very well designed and should fit almost all applications where it's needed. It's much easier walking with this than using two trekking poles. I would buy this Rollator again and also add the accessories. ... show more

  • Overall good - detailed list of pluses and minuses from our perspective
Size: Standard Color: Blue
We just bought this newer “Drive” walker for my 92 year old father. After a few days we have noticed both pluses and minuses that I’m hoping “Drive” might take into account on their next version. We have two older Drive walkers to compare with. PLUSES & MINUSES: - sturdier frame, which makes the user feel more safe and steady, than our much older walkers from Drive - The larger wheels make for smoother driving - folding is super easy than our old Drive walkers, when we need to get it into the car. Also having it click closed means it does not open on you when lifting into the car. We do find it much heavier than our other Drive walkers. A bit too heavy for me. - seat and back rest are comfortable - although it would be wonderful if the top band on the back rest was a bit longer than the lower one so that it fit more the curve of the back. - Minus - every time my dad tries to unzip the accessory bag, one or both sides fall off of the knobs it hooks onto. My dad is unable to put it back on himself. We found the quality of the bag to be less than expected and less quality than our older bags. The zip is also difficult for him to unzip and rezip. Plus - for those who want to take their accessory bag on and off often, and will primarily zip/unzip once it is off it is a plus. The older version he had the bag did not come off. - Brakes are a minus for him - my dad can not pull the break handles to take it out of park. His older versions was much easier to use for him. We find that the distance between the park position and handle bars seems greater on this version than older versions and the brakes are stiffer even on the easiest setting. He has arthritis and also finds it difficult to slip his fingers into the handle loops. On our old versions one does not have a loop, and it was easier for him. Overall we are happy with the choice if the brakes become easier to use after a few weeks. For the bag, I’m going to attach the bag from an older version as he will not need to takes his on and off. ... show more

  • Greatly increased mobility.
Size: Standard Color: Red
Very high quality. I like that it came fully assembled and adjusted with no major snap in parts to get lose over time. It is rated at 350# compared to 300# for others. I think the 10"/8" wheels are a good compromise between indoor and outdoor use and it makes it easier to fit in the trunk than the units with 12"/10" wheels. It is easy to handle and having a seat with you all of the time is priceless. It has greatly increased my mobility. And it looks nice. ... show more

  • This is the best walker!
Size: Tall Color: Blue
Love this walker. Great design and folds up easily. It’s light weight but very strong. Great color and the workmanship is great too. I would definitely recommend to anyone needing a walker. The seat is strong yet flexible to fold when transporting. It fits nicely in the back of my KIA Soul. Large front wheels and nice rear wheels. DRIVE makes some great products. I’m not getting anything from the company. However, I do appreciate this product. Very happy with my choice. ... show more

  • Good - but not great
Size: Standard Color: Red
I have been using this walker daily for about 3.5 months now. It is sturdy and folds and unfolds quickly and easily. It is very easy to configure it to fit your size. The cup holder is nice, but it falls off easily when putting it into or out of the car. The brakes are a joke. They have very little power - the wheel easily slips past the “shoe”. The round profile tires easily slide on smooth surfaces, if the brakes do catch. The most annoying problem is the wobble that comes from the useless tire tread. I contacted the manufacturer, and they gave me a method to tame the wobble. It is easy to do, but I doubt most users would have the tools and be able to do it. Worse than that, the effect is quickly lost, and the wobble returned. Luckily, a little tire wear is making the tire tread less prominent, and reducing the wobble. Luckily, it only wobbles on very smooth surfaces. Overall this is a GOOD walker. I’m just frustrated that it is SO close to being great that the shortcomings are particularly biting. This is MUCH better than the cheap walker that I got from a discount store. It looks good, and is very sturdy. It is a few small improvements away from ‘perfect’. ... show more
