  • Loaded with features at a great price
This chair is loaded with features at a great price. I chose this chair over the Cruiser III because of the 3 axle positions to choose from. This will replace a custom rigid framed chair that had 3 1/2 inches of seat dumb or bucket - meaning the back of the seat sat lower than the front edge. What this does for someone that has issues with sitting balance is improve the truck stability they have. With the back edges of the seat lower you are less likely to slide forward in the chair and most important it allows you to use the core strength you do have more effectively. And on top of that the main wheels are quick release. :) Push in the button on the outside of the hub and pull the wheel off the frame just that easy. It makes adjustments to the setup of the chair easier plus removing the drive wheels makes the chair take up less space in a car and makes the frame lighter loading it up in 3 pieces instead of picking up the entire chair in one go. Desk arms allow you to get closer to tables and the adjustable height feature allows people of different torso and arm lengths to find a comfortable setting. Most importantly adjustable height arms allow for use of a variety of seat pads of different thickness with the forearms being able to rest on the arm rests. The seat depth adjustment is one I have never seen before included on the chair as standard. It is a great option. Ever been set up in a chair with the seat depth too long with the front edge of the seat digging in the back of your lower legs? I have and it sucked. Ever needed just a few more inches on the front of the seat to feel more comfortable? This chair will do it. This chair is loaded with great features the only thing I would like to change is the front wheels. Eight inch front wheels swing around and swat the feet of people that propel the chair with their feet. they also give a little jerk to the side when you start to move the chair from a stopped position and the wheels are not back. If you are brushing your teeth in a sink next to the bathroom wall and the door frame you can nick the edge of the wall/door frame when you start to move. Five inch wheels infinitely much better on the front. But since hospital style chairs have had 8 inch wheels on the front since the 30's don't count on this changing with the mindset of the experts who pick out chairs for people but do not use them every single day they are not in their bed. It is an industry wide issue nothing do do with this chair. On the whole I am super pleased with this chair. I had an older Viper made by the same manufacturer as a back up for years and can say based on the experience with that chair I expect this chair to be as durable as that one. ... show more

  • Exactly what the PT requested
The seat is adjustable, which is nice. It works well. 2nd wheelchair my dad has had and he's happy with it.

  • Very decent chair for the price.
I bought this chair at a local health supply store, but I wanted to write a review on Amazon anyway because I really do like it and it's cheaper here than it was at the brick and mortar location. The chair is relatively comfortable, but I would advise adding a cushion. It rolls pretty smoothly, and folds down easily. A bit heavy, but it does fit in the trunk of my small Elantra with no issue. I would definitely recommend it, particularly to those who are ambulatory and need a chair that is easy to use and can fit in a car well. ... show more

  • Works great.
Just what we needed. I do recommend that you buy the cushion if you are planning on using the chair a lot.
