  • Sturdy chair, easy to set up
Size: 18 Inch Style: Swing Away Footrests
Awesome product, even though delivery was not that great (the box fell apart outside). The chair came as described and it was easy to set up right out of the box. It is a great product because it is easy to transport in a regular-size car (it collapses and can be pulled open again easily). High-quality materials and metal - not flimsy at all and seems sturdy! ... show more

  • Affordable, lightweight and functional
Size: 18 Inch Style: Swing Away Footrests
Footrests are easy to put on, take off, adjust for length, and swing away. The armrests fully swinging up and back may be one of the best features. Footpegs in the back make pushing over a door threshold much easier. Light enough for self-propelling. Great chair for the price. Adjustable tension on the locks is super helpful. Sturdy, and it fits in the trunk of a sedan. ... show more

  • Excellent value for the money
Size: 16 Inch Style: Elevating Leg Rests
I broke my leg last week, and the wheelchair belonging to our family was designed for my super short mom and was large and cumbersome. I landed on this Drive model, and it works so very well! The size is perfect, allowing for easy movement through my 36” doorways. It would be easy enough even with 32” doors, I think, but I’m not great at steering just yet. The 16” seat on this one works well for me, size 10-12 in clothing and a bit larger in the hip and thigh. Sometimes the wheel rubs against the plastic side panel due to my girth, but a readjustment solves the problem. I wish the plastic panel was a little more firm, but it works for me…a person with larger hips and thighs might want to consider the 18” or 20” model. It has a very solid build and rolls smoothly. I got a small hanging bag to hold my phone and other needs, but it interferes with the wheel and handholds…I have a clip-on stroller/wheelchair cup and phone holder on the way today, which I think will be a much better option. I can’t yet speak to longevity, but we have a smaller Drive model chair (on four small wheels) that has endured a lot of family use, including a trip to Disney World with my daughter and her broken toe, that is still going strong and getting passed around the fam. I feel very good about the brand, and I think this chair will be another one that gets lots of use in the future. Upon delivery, the chair is fully assembled, other than the leg rests which are easy to install with no tools necessary. The chair arrived without the elevated leg rests, unfortunately, so I immediately went to the link on the product page to ask about getting them sent. I was assured they would ship in 2-4 days, but two days later, they were on the porch via FedEx. EXCELLENT customer service, there. The calf rest is not adjustable, but it’s perfectly comfortable for me, 5’4” tall with average length legs. The length is adjustable, but even on the most extended setting, it’s not quite long enough for me to keep the footrest in place…I have to fold back the foot rest to use it in elevated position, as I am not supposed to have any pressure on the leg for quite a few weeks to come. The foot rests will be perfect when I can finally bend my knee and lower the legs, so this shortcoming doesn’t really matter to me. (Pics show only one leg rest attached, but there are two.) This is an all-around solid choice, and it’s just so affordable that any detractions are just not important enough to worry about. I am thrilled with this chair, and grateful to have something to allow me some mobility. ... show more

  • Great for the Price
Size: 20 Inch Style: Swing Away Footrests
This is the 3rd time I'm in a wheelchair. The cost to rent in my area is $88/wk for a manual and $150/wk for an electric. I spent almost $200 each of the last times I rented. It was cheaper to buy this here at $139. I did order the 20" seat. I'm a size 16 and pregnant, the 16" rental wasn't wide enough. I could have gotten away with the 18" but I'm reusing the gel seat I already had for the previous rental, so it works out. It came in good condition and was easy to set up. I like the color. It's easy to maneuver and collapse for my trunk. I wouldn't call this lightweight, the rental was lighter, but I can manage getting it in and out alone. I have sciatica and SPD, so I'm not bound all the time but need it for longer distances. We've taken this to the zoo, 3 parks and the store. The breaks lock well and my kids and partner can push me easily when my arms get tired. This wheelchair is a good buy for short term use and is significantly cheaper than a rental. My only issue is I'm 5'2" and my arms are pretty short. The chair arms rub my forearms when I push myself. That wasn't an issue with the rental. There isn't really a way to lower the arms to accommodate for this. ... show more

  • Very Pleased!
Size: 18 Inch Style: Elevating Leg Rests
This is a nice wheelchair. I have no complaints whatsoever. The padded legs were something that I wanted. My legs rest comfortably with this one vs. the others with just a strap. The first thing I checked was to see how thick the back and bottom of the seat were. I have to admit, I was a little surprised that it was not just a thin layer of material. It's padded. For people who need this more often, you can decide if you want the extra cushions that are also sold on Amazon. As for me, I only need this occasionally when my knee causes me too much pain to walk (severely cracked patella). So instead of sitting in the car or staying home from shopping trips, I can still go and be with the family. My advice would be to look at all of the options and get what you think you will be most comfortable with. I would recommend this wheelchair to anyone needing comfort and ease of storing it as well. The padded leg area needs to be removed each time unloading and reloading but it is removed with just one click. Easy peasy. Great quality at a great price. ... show more
