  • Perfect for City Travel
Used for 6'2" male, 270 lbs, some walking ok. Used for travel. Pros: Comfortable. Lightweight, very durable, sturdy. A solid chair that can withstand numerous plane, train, subway, bus, and cab rides. For cabs, the foot rests can be removed in seconds and back folded down just as quickly. Chair can be placed flat in sedans or at an angle in the front or back seat if needed. Hand brakes work perfectly. As an added plus, the two pockets behind the backrest came in very handy. Cons: Width promotes comfort, but results in a tight squeeze in some doorways and elevators. As some have indicated, position of footrests results in legs parted slightly which could be awkward for women, but comfortable for men. The screw on push bar was not used, as removing it takes 2-3 minutes so we did not use while in transit. What I do not know is how much of an impact the smaller wheels (vs "traditional" larger wheels) have in effectively pushing uphill. Despite the Cons, I am very pleased with this product and would recommend especially for men, a larger body type, and for folks who are able to walk a bit to access narrow passage ways. ... show more

  • Rolls well but difficult to unfold
This chair is kept in my suv at all times so I can wheel my spouse into doctor appointments. The pros are: looks great, carries a 360# person with ease, has hand brakes and folds for convenience. It is also light enough that I (female, 60’s) can lift it in and out of the vehicle with only some difficulty. Cons: The biggest problem with this chair is it is almost impossible to unfold! I can’t unfold it myself, I have to roll it to my spouse, while he’s still in the passenger seat, and he can unfold it with some difficulty. It also has a couple of very pinchy “pinch points” near the arm rests where you need to put your hands to unfold it! I have pinched myself pretty hard in these spots so be careful! The pinch points are labeled on the chair, but the labeling isn’t that noticeable until you are standing there with your hand painfully stuck in the partially unfolded chair! So, in conclusion…this is a nice chair that works great for transporting a larger built person, but you may have a difficult time unfolding it when you need it! (I have 2 of these and they are both the same regarding the folding issue. I also have used WD40 and reel grease to try to help with lubricating the folding mechanism. WD40 helps the most) ... show more

  • Sturdy, high quality chair
Sturdy, high quality chair, easy to handle. I traveled with my mother to Las Vegas and was very glad to have this chair. The crossbar is great for easier handling and seems to add some stability to the chair. The chair just seemed to glide well. It folds easy and is relatively light considering it is a heavy-duty chair that can hold a heavier person. It is a bit wide - great for the rider (comfortable, wide seat, padded armrests), but it does take up some space. It fit fine folded in my SUV, the limo SUV, and the airport parking shuttle van, and I checked it at the airline gate with no problems, but I did not test it in a car trunk. Unfolded it fit through all the doorways in my home, hotel, and elevators easily. Very happy with purchase. ... show more

  • So light and perfect, I can get myself around the house using only my feet!
I have tried many heavy duty wheelchairs and transport chairs, but this is the best by far. It's very sturdy, and very easy to maneuver, fold, and transport. In fact, I move myself around in this chair very well using my feet, and occasionally a short cane to help steer, if I'm very tired, something I could not do if it weren't so light. My health and dexterity problems, along with my excessive weight, make it nearly impossible for me to get myself around well in a regular wheelchair, but this transport chair has been a lifesaver. ... show more

  • Don't buy this.
This thing is not anywhere near worth the money I spent on it. I've only had it a few months and I've already replaced the seat once and the padded arm rest on one side is now coming off every time I use it. It doesn't fold and unfold properly either. The reason I had to replace the seat was because the handles tore off due to me having to shake the thing to get it to fold up. I tried working directly with the manufacturer and they were of very limited help. They sent me a new seat with little fuss but when using wd-40 didn't work to keep it from being difficult to fold and unfold they sent me back to amazon for a refund/replacement. Amazon refused, offered only a partial refund. I went back to the manufacturer and told them Amazon refused to fix the problem and they just sent me back to Amazon again. I paid waaay too much money for this oversized paper weight. ... show more

  • Easy to push
This chair is easy to push. Like the added bar feature, however the bar is hard to get secured each time you need to use the chair. Feels like plastic in the handles are starting to strip. Chair is heavier than expected. Hard for me to load and unload by myself. Have to remove legs and bar every time we put this chair in the trunk for travel. Big hassle when trying to make short trips. Chair does push easily on grass and uneven surfaces. Good for heavier person as far as being sturdy. ... show more

  • Roomy
This is a transport chair and it is easy to steer and fold up to put in your vehicle. It is extra roomy if you need that extra width. It does sit higher than a regular wheelchair so it is easier for the person to get out of. I would definitely recommend if you have a heavier person that just needs to use it to get out of the house and to doctor appointments. Very sturdy. ... show more
