Had to run ethernet throughout my whole house for my security cameras. I figured it would be much easier to not get premade cable. This cable is really good quality. The casing is fairly heavy so it's durable. The wire is solid not stranded. Not sure what the centerpiece is called but has a plastic plus sign to keep strands separated. I know these two things don't have anything to do with this particular cable... But I wish these manufacturers would just run the correct pairing side by side so you didn't have to untwist the colored pairs and try to get them straight, try them to get the correct order next to each other and then put them into the termination. I wish they made them flat so again it would make them easier to place into the termination. Overall it was very pleased and this cable was easy to work with. I probably could have got away with the 500 ft box but better to have too much then not enough at this price DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY REASON. This company cannot even understand their own accounts. For instance, Telling me I made a payment on a certain date and then a full refund from Amazon after that was paid to them and then they say that I still owe them more money. I said, you literally just said you got a full refund from Amazon. So how can I owe you money if you received a refund? This is the sixth time on multiple accounts in the past 3 months that I've had problems with them not keeping the account straight. You might think it's nice to be able to break down payments on Amazon but you're asking for trouble. Not only are there interest rates absurd at 36% but they also are hitting your credit report with wrong information. And then you have to dispute it with the credit reporting agency. It's another headache. India call centers are terrible at understanding things and are working from home so there's tons of background noise such as banging or kids. Great price for the length and quality and the speeds are as advertised up to 10gb/s. Easy to pull out of the box and when installed correctly it works like a charm. It's a little thicker than most cat 6 cable I think, but only by a very tiny bit, maybe the insulation is a bit thicker or something but it works fine. ... show more

It good quality cable. It's thick and I have no complaints about the reliability. However, I would not recommend this for the average home user for the following reasons: 1. It has a plastic support core. It gets in the way when terminating and most novice users are going to scream at it. It can be difficult for an inexperienced person to jam that into a jack. Support cores are not needed for home applications or short runs. 2. The inner wires are thick and stiff as heck! They are resistant to holding shape when aligning wire order for termination. Anyone who has tried to keep wire order when terminating knows how annoying it is that have wires that want to move our of order. I have terminated more wire than I can count but even I got annoyed by it. For pro use, it's great. It;s tough cable, the colors are bright, and easier to identify. Sure, the white stripped wires can still get confused with each other but at least it's not that poor quality rubbery junk with shiny colors you often find with some cable. Plus most pro's are probably going to use keystone modules, which makes termination a snap. It pulls through walls and ceilings decently and resists tangles very well. ... show more

I’ve burned through a couple boxes of this cable at this point and have had pretty good luck so far. The pull box works well and I have had very few issues with the cable getting caught when being pulled. As far as pulling the cable, it is relatively strong. I recently pulled several runs through a tight attic with older cabling and had no issues related to putting a little pressure behind it when pulling. The insulation peels easily and the wires aren’t extremely stubborn to untwist when terminating. Even if you forget your cable strippers it’s easy enough to snip the jacket and just peel it back. As for terminating, I haven’t had any jacks fail due to the cabling itself. All of the failed jacks were either me being impatient and mixing up a pair of running a drill bit through the cable not being careful. I’ve terminated this cable in punchdown blocks and RJ-45 connectors numerous times. I’ve also never had any issues with the throughput on the cabling. ... show more

I had high hopes for this Dripstone CAT6 1000ft bulk cable, especially given the advertised specs and affordability. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. The biggest issue is the use of CCA (Copper-Clad Aluminum) instead of pure copper. While technically within CAT6 standards, CCA is far less reliable, especially for longer runs. I experienced noticeable signal degradation and intermittent connectivity, which is unacceptable for gaming and streaming. The pull box was another letdown. It snagged constantly, and the cable twisted and kinked more than it should. Stripping the insulation was also a hassle, too brittle and inconsistent, making termination a frustrating process. If you're wiring a professional setup or care about long-term stability, I’d recommend investing in a true copper cable. This might work for short, low-demand runs, but for serious networking, it’s not worth the compromise. ... show more
