  • Good back of crickets, but not my for my picky duck
Size: 2.2 Pound (Pack of 1)
The media could not be loaded. I recently picked up a bag of dried crickets to try as a treat for my duck, and overall, I think it’s a solid product, though it didn’t quite work out for my particular feathered friend. First off, this is a nice big bag, definitely great value for the amount you get. The crickets themselves are impressively large and mostly whole, which was something I appreciated since it's not always the case with dried insect treats. The resealable bag is also a plus for keeping things fresh (although I’ll be honest, the smell is definitely there. Not a dealbreaker, but something to be aware of if you’re sensitive to odors). Unfortunately, the crickets didn’t pass the taste test with my duck. He’s always been a notoriously picky eater, and even though he was curious enough to try one, he spit it out immediately and wanted nothing more to do with them. I was a little disappointed, but I can’t fault the product for that, some animals just have strong opinions! Pros: Large, mostly whole crickets Generous quantity Resealable for freshness Good option for birds or reptiles that enjoy insects Cons: Strong smell (to be expected, but worth noting) Not a hit with my duck, though this may vary by animal If you’ve got birds or reptiles that enjoy bugs, this is definitely worth trying. While it didn’t work out for my duck, I still think it’s a well-packaged, quality product that would be a great treat for the right critter. ... show more

  • Happy Chickens, but some extra stuff mixed in
Size: 2.2 Pound (Pack of 1)
My chickens happily ate these up, so no complaints there. But there was some plant material mixed in with the dried crickets. I'm used to the purity of black fly larvae.

  • Ample quantity, whole-body, intact crickets!
Size: 2.2 Pound (Pack of 1)
Wow - this a a hefty bag of crickets - large and whole - for the yard-scratchers. Impressive in presentation - with the bag you can see you're getting whole crickets, not just parts, and they are of significant size. The feathered flock gobbled them up in a hurry, despite having plenty of regular scratch and insect-type fare, so clearly a gourmet moment for the hens. Might hang onto a few to use as topwater bait for the next fishing trip. Very large bag and weighty - you're getting your money's worth here! Birds will love them, as will your other cricket-nibblers in the family. ... show more

  • My chickens love these treats.
Size: 2.2 Pound (Pack of 1)
The media could not be loaded. I went out back to try these treats out with the chickens, and they raced up to the coop door to see what I had to share. I dumped a small portion out on the ground, and the chickens attacked them with a vengeance. Based on what I saw, these crickets are the right size, don't have a super strong smell, crunch up easily enough for the chickens to ingest, and are really tasty to them. I found it's a nice and easy way to lure them back into their run when I've let them free range for a little while. ... show more

  • Great for chickens!
Size: 2.2 Pound (Pack of 1)
Excellent find! I'm not going to lie, these look super gross in the package- but it's dried crickets, what else would you expect? We feed these to our chickens and they go absolutely nuts over them. Great to have on hand during those winter months when there's not much for them to forage. It keeps their yolks nice and orange all winter long! Definitely worth the buy for chickens. And they last a while because you really only need a handful or two each day, depending on your flock size. ... show more

  • Stinks to high heavens
Size: 2.2 Pound (Pack of 1)
So these bugs definitely didn't come whole and were rather parts of bugs and a worn out bag that leaked all over my other items. The stink terribly. So please order by themselves and not with other edibles or clothing because seriously these reek. Smell a side. My chickens did not love these as much as they love melworms. It might be because they didn't recognize the shape and it took them a while to realize that these were food ... show more

  • Chickens go Crazy
Size: 2.2 Pound (Pack of 1)
Our chickens are captive because of dogs and other predators so they don't get to forage and roam like some. I like to get them some treats outside of their standard feed. They went absolutely crazy for these. They stink, but I'm not eating them.

  • Great Protein for my Chickens
Size: 2.2 Pound (Pack of 1)
These are a really nice protein supplement for Chickens. They are also a favorite with my Geese. I use these in the colder months to supplement with the Chicken feed. They are a bit pricy to use as a standard feed and I use them more as a treat. They do really like them. Once I am seen with bag in hand, the birds come running. Good protein and quality product. ... show more
