These are definitely budget friendly, but they are very small - about 3/4". Other brands I purchased were up to 2" long and “fatter”. My cats did not like these.

I got these for my wild birds who love crickets and mealworms. This mix is mostly mealworms, the shrimp all appear to be just shrimp heads, and there are very few crickets. I’m disappointed because I would’ve bought them separately or all crickets if I had known this bag would be mostly mealworms. The crows and the blue jays seemed to like the food, but I already knew they were mealworms fans. Hopefully they enjoyed the occasional cricket and shrimp head as a special treat. I was not a fan of the smell. My other bag of mealworms smelled like nothing. So I think it’s the shrimp heads that are giving off the odor. The bag is resealable, so I only had to smell it when I was putting it out. A fun sounding mix, but next time, I’ll go with a single protein source and mix it up myself, without the shrimp heads. ... show more

I got this for my box turtles, and they seem to like it just fine. It is that time of year (cooling temperatures) have curbed their appetite. My adult turtles and yearlings have no problem with the different sized bugs. I select the smallest bugs to feed to this year's hatchlings. I ordered this 1 lb bag of LuckyQworms Dried Crickets as a supplemental treat for our bearded dragon, and they have been an absolute success. As soon as I offered one, he went for it immediately. It's always a good sign when a picky reptile shows such enthusiasm for a new food source. The first thing I noticed upon opening the bag is that these crickets are a bit larger and more substantial than many other brands we've purchased in the past. They are impressively whole and intact, not just a bag of broken pieces, dust, and legs, which speaks to good quality control during the drying and packaging process. For an adult bearded dragon, this larger size is perfect as it provides a more satisfying crunch and a more significant treat per cricket. I was also specifically looking for a product with a strong nutritional profile, and this one delivers. The label indicates they are gut-loaded, with a crude protein content of over 65% and a very high calcium level of 12.9%. This gives me confidence that I'm providing a treat that is not only enjoyable for my pet but also beneficial to his health. Given the quality, the generous 1 lb quantity, and my dragon's enthusiastic response, this product is a clear winner. It's a top-tier treat that I would highly recommend to other reptile owners. Note: I only give 5 stars if something is truly special or 5 star worthy for something that is above and beyond with no apparent drawbacks. 4 stars is a great rating from me. 3 is: the product is fine but meh. 2 or less I'm not happy and I'll explain why.
