Buy this--Dont waste your money on any other air conditioners- this is better than any window air conditioner, portable air conditioner and even beats split acs or heat pumps if you are to think of how much much it costs to get a heat pump installed for the whole house. I have had this portable air conditioner since April this year. The evaportator functions works as advertised. It is easy to install, has wheels, cools the room and surrrounding rooms excellently. It is less noisy than a portable air conditioner. The noise level is good and doesnt bother when I am sleeping but most nights I end up turning it off before I go to bed as the room is already cool from running it for a few hours in the evening. The air conditioner is well-built, I love the quality. The remote has its own spot where it magnetically attaches to the air conditioner. I can control the air conditioner through my phone and through my voice on Alexa, what more can I ask for, I love it. I wasted hundreds on other window air conditioners and nonsense fans and air coolers, dont waste your money. Buy this and you will not regrest your purchase, I am one happy customer. ... show more

Looks good. There is nothing good about a standing air conditioner. Landlord made us do it. But this one looks good, performs well. Keeps a 12x18 foot room cool. Not very noisy. Electric bills not outrageous. More than a window unit, but not awful. It is easy to use, remember to empty the water as the humidity builds. The air filters are easy to clean, as well. You can attach it to an up-and-down-sliding window or a side-crank. I researched a dozen and made the right call. I got black so it wouldn't look like I had a toilet in the living room! ha And it really does melt into the surroundings. ... show more

Its going to be louder compared to a top Japanese brand, but not annoying loud. I have the overall quality a B+, being able to program it via app is a game changer, and it actually blows cold air. That said, the square footage it covers is accurate. Don't expect it to cool down rooms connected to the main room its cooling down. This product is amazing!! I cant tell how happy im with it. If your room is exposed to sunlight and the heat, this product if for you. For me, the house main AC works fine but is not able to cool my room enough. This product is great and cools my room a lot!! I can sleep really good and the heat is not bothering me anymore. Granted we've only had it a day now so who knows how it'll stand the test of time but so far it's excellent. It was significantly smaller & lighter than the one it was replacing so I was initially worried it wouldn't cool as well. This was definitely not the case, it cooled out room quickly & well. It's well made & looks nice. It was very straightforward to get set up, probably the least hassle out of any we've owned. There is a remote for it, & the app is awesome. It was super easy to pair to the app- it pretty much did everything itself- & you can do/view pretty much anything from the app. The app also has the user manual & maintenance on it, which is a blessing for people like me that lose literally everything. Works great, very impressed. Hopefully it stays that way. So far would definitely recommend. ... show more

The unit itself is of high quality and functionality putting out cool air as expected. However The vent had a tear either defect or from pull out out as it is like accordion - and the tear was so small I notice till after looking it over and seeing light through the vent-the room was dark with just ambient light at that time. We have the technology to make stronger plastics, waterbeds that don’t leak yet we don’t for some reason. Clearly this is a small detail and Amazon did make it right. I live in Texas and we have to be prepared, I have two floor units and 3 window units- and glad I did for my 20k hi end ac unit has a coil leak and apparently irregardless of price all ac units are made of inferior metal! And at this time I can’t afford to fix the problem and we are entering El Niño with hotter than expected spring and summer. I plan to purchase another one of these and repair my ac hopefully by summer If unit exceeds my expectations I will add a star ... show more

    • Needs improvements to be worth the price

Needs improvement for the premium price tag. For one, the thing has a MASSIVE power draw. on its highest setting it can suck up almost 15 amps!!! My house is older and only has 15 amp breakers, so this plus any other high draw electrical device ( i.e. another ac unit) instantly trips my breaker. For comparison, 14,000 BTU ACs from other brands max draw is around 13 amps. That's 4,000 MORE BTU AND 2 LESS AMPS!!! Secondly, the remote. if you aren't aimed at the AC front, it wont actually accept whatever you try to do with the remote, but the remote itself will as if it performed the action ( i.e. change the ac temp from 72 to 68. AC will still display 72, but remote will show 68.) App is decently made. cleaning reminders are nice. cools pretty well. so yeah, put a compressor that doesn't cause power outages and fix the remote and you'll have a great product. ... show more
