When I first opened this I was surprised. I was expecting a full on hat, hat. This is more soft, fitting, styrofoam type material. It was flat upon opening. My first reaction was disappointment but then my husband told me to open it and fluff it up. So I did. To my surprise... It unfolded and fluffed up pretty great! It fit my head (with a wig) wonderfully. It never slipped off, I wasn't overly heated, it was very comfortable. It was perfect! A great fit to my costume! Very happy. I received this hat today and was VERY disappointed. It is made out of a cheap, foam core fabric and came squashed into a small bag. It has deep creases in all the wrong places. It is also very small. Don't be drawn in by the inexpensive price -- you get what you pay for. The picture makes it look rigid with fluffy lace. It is a very floppy hat with limp lace.
