My backyard has a lot of trees and flowers, so leaves and debris constantly fall into the pool. To keep the surface clean, I bought a Betta skimmer robot that floats and cleans the top of the water. It works great—but my previous corded pool cleaner would constantly get its cable tangled with the Betta, jamming it or pulling it off course. I had to untangle the cord almost every day after cleaning. That’s actually a big reason why I decided to try the Dreame Z1 Pro wireless pool robot—and I’m so glad I did. First of all, no more cord, which means my Betta can work freely, and I don’t have to babysit the pool equipment anymore. That alone saved me a lot of hassle. The Z1 Pro itself is a big upgrade. It looks and feels high-end—sturdy construction, solid weight, and not cheap plastic. It’s a little bigger than my old cleaner, but the cleaning brush is wider and more powerful, so it gets the job done faster. My pool has several steps, and my old robot would often get stuck on them. This one hasn’t gotten stuck once, even on the steps or uneven areas. What I really like are the smart cleaning modes. Besides the standard full-clean mode, it also has: • a mode for just cleaning the pool bottom, • a wall-only cleaning mode, • and even a special mode for cleaning the waterline area—which is super useful since that’s where dirt and scum tend to build up. It connects to WiFi, and the mobile app is easy to use. You can choose modes and track cleaning status right from your phone. Another small detail I love: the filter basket is one large, easy-to-remove piece. After cleaning, I just pull it out and rinse. My old robot had two tiny baskets you had to unclip and open—kind of a pain. Now, for the downsides: • Because it’s wireless, you do have to take it out and charge it after each cleaning. It’s not fully “set-and-forget” like a corded one with scheduled runs. • It’s also a bit heavy, especially right after a cleaning cycle when there’s still water inside. Lifting it out of the pool takes a bit of effort. That said, the freedom from cords, the smarter cleaning, and the overall cleaning performance make this absolutely worth it for me. If you have a pool with steps, lots of trees nearby, or use a floating skimmer like the Betta, this wireless cleaner is a major upgrade.

Unfortunately, this product did not live up to the fancy videos and product photos touting how great it is. I wanted to be a believer but after using it 2 times, 6 days apart, it would not charge at all. It did a good job when working and the remote was useful as it didn't get all of the areas when cleaning. But for the price and hype, I expected more than what I got. I recommend not taking a chance as too many customers are having issues.

I’ve used several robotic cleaners over the years, but the DREAME Z1 Pro is in a league of its own. The first thing I noticed was the build quality—it feels incredibly premium. What really sets it apart is the 8000 GPH suction power. It doesn’t just pick up leaves; it gets the fine silt and sand that most robots leave behind. The cordless design is a complete game changer. No more untangling long, heavy cables or worrying about power outlets near the water. I was skeptical about the battery, but it easily handled my entire in-ground pool (including the walls and waterline) with plenty of power to spare. The LiFi and App control are super responsive, allowing me to monitor the progress without even stepping outside. The Auto-Retrieval feature is the icing on the cake—it parks itself right by the wall when it's done, so I don’t have to "fish" for it. It’s an investment, but for the crystal-clear results and the time it saves me, it’s worth every penny!

UPDATED: It's growing in me! Their customer service is awesome (5+ stars), but the Z1 Pro battery life struggles with my large pool (20' x 34',10' deep). However, it's acorn season in Texas and there's a constant "plop....plop" in my pool. The Z1 Pro is doing a great job collecting acorns!!! Dreame continues to update firmware to improve battery life and performance. The ultra-fine filters work well to remove fine dirt. A little more battery life and it's a 5-star choice. Dreame's super power is customer service. Their people are incredibly knowledgable and helpful. I feel like I have a dedicated technician and software engineer improving my robot for me. My previous robot was a DolpTriton II, corded, which worked great for over 10 years.

Bought this back in february for a good price. When it arrived it turned on, but then the operating light turned red. Wouldn't connect to the network. Wouldn't update the firmware. Couldn't connect to the app so was completely non functional. Contacted Dreame support and they gave me a few things to try but none of them worked. So then they said they would escalate the problem to their supervisors. And then I never heard from them again. They stopped replying to my emails and had completely ghosted me. Contacted Amazon and told them it was broken and they offered me a refund or a replacement. I should have taken the refund. Amazon sent me a new one and it worked. Connected to app. Performance wise, it did ok. Couldn't get fine particles. And even though my pool is just a basic rectangle, it has curved walls and struggles to navigate. It frequently misses spots. But it did good enough. I just used the brush when It missed an area. Fast forward to this past week. I noticed that the robot wasnt climbing up the walls anymore. It used to go past the waterline and clean the tile. Now it struggled to get near the water line and would just sink down to bottom like it didn't have enough power. Fully cleaned the robot and the debris basket. Still had the issue. Contacted support again at Dreame. They want me to send it in to be repaired. This thing is just worthless. I have barely had it for 4 months. And when It is working, it doesn't even do a good job. And now it's broken again? And don't get me started on the remote. It only works at night. Robot can't communicate with the app when it's under water. Absolutely stay away from this product. And maybe avoid the company as well. They have not been helpful at all. Amazon has been amazing and have been the only real help I've recieved during all this.

I’ve been using the Dreame Z1 Pro for about a month now, and it has completely changed the way I take care of my pool. I was honestly a bit skeptical at first, but this thing delivers. Setup was super simple charge it, drop it in the pool, and it gets to work right away. I love that I don’t have to mess with hoses or pumps anymore. The Z1 Pro navigates the pool efficiently and actually climbs the walls and waterline, which my old pressure cleaner couldn’t do. What impressed me the most is how quiet it is. I can let it run while we’re hanging out in the backyard, and we barely hear a thing. It also picks up everything leaves, sand, dirt, even some small pebbles. The suction is no joke. The filter basket is easy to remove and rinse out, though I do wish it were just a little bigger (we get a lot of leaves). Still, emptying it once isn’t a big deal. Battery life is solid too, I usually get a full clean on a single charge. Also want to shout out the customer support team they were friendly, helpful, and quick to respond when I had a few questions during setup. Overall, super happy with the Z1 Pro. It’s reliable, well-built, and has already saved me so much time. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a no-fuss pool robot that actually works.

I was so excited to start using my new pool vac. I watched several videos that compared different battery operators pool vacs. I chose the Dreame Z1. It said upgraded so that was a plus. I really wanted there to be cleaning brushes on the sides so it would clean the walls as it ran across the bottom of the pool and along the walls but this one does offer those. Anyways, it stated quick and easy setup. Easily connect to you vac and create an account in little time. 🙄 it took me well over an hour to finally get the vac to connect to my phone. It says it will only connect to 2.5gh. I have 5.0 so I had to unplug my router try to log into my router. Had issues doing that. I would make it thru 2 of the 3 connections and the last one would always say failed. Then it would connect to my Bluetooth. I did a live chat. Everything I was told to try did not work. Then I was told to reset the vac. Yet could not find the reset button. Asked for a picture of where its supposed to be because there isnt one under the lid/basket. The picture isn't the z1 pro. Then the chat starts going off subject. Some how just before I thru my phobe into the pool and boxed the vacuum back up for a refund it connected. How I have no clue. But their "no time" took me well over an hour. I the Complete option as that was the only option that offered it to clean the steps or benches in the pool. I placed the vac in the pool and started the cleaning cycle. It took awhile before it started ro move. Just sat in the same spot and had bubbles coming out. Finally started to move around. When I came back outside a while later it was at the bottom of the deep end. I believe it had been running for about an hour maybe a little more. I took it out and dried off the connection, made sure all the water was drained and then I cleaned the basket. It had picked up quit a bit of debris. That was good. Well I plugged it in and no lights came on the vac. There was a little green light that came on the power cord but not on the vac. I figured the battery was just depleted and needed some juice before a light would come on. An hour later still no lights and I get a notification about a charging error. I check the vac and it wont start up and the screen on the top still has a haze over it like it did when I pulled it out of the pool. The box on the charging cord was pretty hot. Again I had dried of the connections before plugging it back up to charge. Once again it says not connected to the internet or my Bluetooth. In all its pretty frustrating. Dont know if I would recommend this Dreame z1 pro. As it is not easy to connect to your phone and its not wanting to charge back up.

For the money. Stop looking this is the one for you. It comes with a remote and app and all the bells and whistles but the best thing about this robot is it operates fully by pushing a button and dropping it in the pool.
