We have 10 purebred rescue cats, many different breeds, & all are over the age of 9 years old. The seniors! For a couple of years, I tried many different good grain-free brands for them, searching for something that would not upset their stomachs, and that they would all eat. Most of that time I offered them 2 or 3 brands at a time so that they had a choice. Finally I tried Royal Canin Special (this particular variety of the Royal Canins) because I had two little old lady Persians- 14 & 18 years of age who had very delicate tummies. This has really cut down on the tummy upsets and vomiting!! (Anyone who has cats is familiar with this!) And it turned out that ALL of the cats love this food and stopped eating the other brands, so this is what we feed them exclusively now. I have to say though, that as an advocate for cats and what is best for them, we do give them a good canned cat food 2-3 times a day too. It's important that they get enough water in their diet to reduce the risk of UTIs- urinary tract infections, and some canned food is a good way to do that. But Royal Canin Special is always available for them, and they love it! It is expensive (especially with 10 cats), :) but I can really see the results of having this good food in their shiny coats, and good health. I buy it through Amazon for a couple of reasons. It is less expensive than the Pet supply stores, very convenient (& quickly delivered), and I LOVE that a little bit is contributed to my favorite cat rescue (Specialty Purebred Cat Rescue) every time I purchase through Amazon Smile!! ... show more

I'm not a crazy cat lady. I'm not even sure if I'm a cat lady but I do have three cats. One of our cats started throwing up and having the runs before we put him on this food. I thought something was wrong with him, took him to the vet, and everything came back fine. So a chunk of cash spent later and I'm standing in the pet store, overwhelmed by the choices for sensitive stomach food. I had been googling different brands and their reviews. I wanted a non - paid honest review. Well, this is what this is. I put back Blue, I put back some hippie company I had never heard of after reading the online reviews and remembered that my vet had Royal Cainan at her office. So I took a chance. I started with the small bag and have upgraded because all of the cats are eating the really good stuff now. They were eating pretty good stuff before. I'm not a cat food snob. I just know that if you feed your cat good food, you will help them from potentially having some issues down the line. The cat that I bought the food for ate so much the first day that he puked. Not because of the food, but because he liked it so much. Smh. He was puking often enough that after switching to this and not having any puking, I wish I tried this before going to the vet. At least I know he is okay. So I'm a fan of this and so are all three of my cats. They are all rescues and not finicky eaters so I can't tell you if your cat will like it, but I can tell you that mine do and we've had no issues in over a month. ... show more

Expensive but When you’re the best it’s never cheap and if it is, it’s fake this is not fake cats love it. They’re more active. no vomiting, better stool better everything this we’ve tried all the top brands. This is the one for us. Bar none!!!

My cat's tummy's preferred dry food. PROS - The only dry food that fixed my cat's tummy (without going into gross details) - Small size for cats who struggle with bigger pieces - Crunchy even when you forget to close the Ziploc overnight CONS - They KNOW this will fix a kitty's tummy, that's why it's on the high end of pricing on the market. I wish my cat didn't have a bougie tummy. I mix it with the cheaper stuff so it lasts me a long time. And it does! I'll keep getting it for sure. ... show more

My cat has a sensitive stomach which she throws up very frequently with regular food. Thus, she loses her weight. We took her to the vet, and there was nothing wrong with her. The vet's suggestion was to give her food that is more digestible. We have been giving her the Royal Canin Feline Health Nutrition Sensitive Digestion Dry Cat Food for a while now. With this food, she can digest much better with much less frequency of vomiting. I am giving 4 star is because there may be some quality control issues. My cat ate very little from the last bag we ordered. I ordered another bag recently, and she is eating regularly again. I was not sure what was causing her not eating, though. My cat has food sensitivities, and he has been using this or another brand similar for many years. I switch back and forth between the two for sensitive stomachs. For some reason, he has been vomiting more and in a big way which he did before I realized he had food sensitivities. I honestly don't know if it was this food or something else, but I needed to take a break from this brand just in case. He has been eating this food off and on for 4 years. I think it's good to switch the food once in awhile since too much of one thing is not necessarily a good thing. I also switch my dog's food every few years or so. I'm grateful my cat tolerates food like this since the cat I had before that could only tolerate an extremely expensive hydrolyzed protein prescription food. Right now with all the cosmic energies it is causing a lot of people and animals to have stomach upset, so it doesn't necessarily mean it is the food. I deal with this type of information for a living, but take it with a grain of salt since it's my perspective. One of my main symptoms during these shifts our world is going through is an stomach upset, and our entire house including all animals will have similar symptoms during major periods of shift. When there are major shifts of energy, everything can be affected since we are all energy. ... show more
