I ordered this mainly because of the ice-cooling feature since I’ve tried other IPL devices before, and while I liked the idea of doing hair removal at home, the discomfort was always my biggest issue, especially for the more sensitive and pigmented bikini area. That has consistently been the area where I struggled most because other devices just felt too intense for me to stick with regularly. Right away, the cooling feature on this is what made the biggest difference. The sapphire ice-cooling contact really does help take the edge off in a way that made treatment feel dramatically more comfortable for me. Compared to another IPL device I previously owned in a very similar price range, this one feels almost shockingly more refined during use. The cooling makes the flashes feel much gentler on my skin, and for me it made treatments close to painless on most areas. The bikini area is still naturally more sensitive, but this is the first IPL device where I have actually felt comfortable enough to stay consistent with treatments there instead of dreading them. One of my favorite features is that it automatically adjusts the settings for you based on the treatment area and skin analysis. That removed a lot of the guesswork that I normally associate with IPL devices. With older devices, I was constantly second-guessing whether I had the intensity too high, too low, or whether I was even using the correct mode. This one feels much smarter and more user-friendly because it handles so much of that automatically while still making me feel safe using it on different parts of my body. The device itself also looks and feels much more premium than the other IPL machine I owned. A lot of at-home IPL devices can look kind of plasticky or clinical, but this one has a much more luxury beauty-tech feel to it. The design feels sleek and expensive, and even the treatment experience itself feels more high-end overall. I also like the larger treatment window because it makes bigger areas like legs move much faster, especially with the rapid auto-flash mode. It feels much less tedious than older IPL devices where you had to slowly stamp every tiny section individually. I’m still early in the process, so I cannot fully speak to long-term hair reduction yet, but I can already tell this is the first IPL device I’ve consistently wanted to keep using instead of abandoning after a few sessions because of discomfort. In summary, the cooling system and automatic skin-adjustment technology are what really set this apart for me. It feels noticeably more premium, more comfortable, and more advanced than other similarly priced IPL devices I’ve tried, and the nearly painless treatment experience has made staying consistent much easier for me.

I am totally new to this type of product, so I was slightly intimidated when I ordered it. After some research, I learned two important things (1) it takes time to see results (2) you must shave before using it - no tweezing and no visible hair. When this product arrived, I was impressed with how it was packaged...it was like unboxing an Apple product. I was particularly impressed with the directions; they were clear, well written, and easy to understand. There is a thick booklet with full instructions, plus a very useful quick-start guide printed on quality folding cardstock. My only complaint is that the power cord is quite large and bulky. Then again, it tells me this gadget is a powerhouse and is meant for hairy business. After reading the instructions thoroughly, I shaved (they even include a little razor) and donned the included protective eyewear. I was really worried that it would hurt, but I felt nothing. The sound and the bright light are somewhat intimidating, but after a few good zaps I started to think it was pretty fun. As a Vine reviewer, I wanted to attempt a true side by side comparison. So, I'm zapping my left underarm, my left lower leg, and the left half of my nether regions (because I'm just that dedicated to the scientific process). I'm waiting to use it on my face until I've seen results elsewhere. I've been using it 3-4 times a week for about 4 weeks now, and while it might be my imagination, I do think I'm starting to see some improvement in texture and growth rate. My underarm seems to be growing in a little softer, although it's hard to tell because I shave what little stubble there is before I zap it. The 50/50 region that is my hoo-ha seems to be growing slightly slower, but it's hard to tell since I can't yoga myself into a position for an up close and personal lookie-loo. I'll update my review in a couple of months to report back. For the record, I am fair skinned and have light hair, which I've learned can make the process less effective. It helps the gadget to have a visible hair follicle for zapping (which is why you shave first). While this product claims to treat light hair, it's another factoid to consider.

MY ⭐️RATINGS: 5⭐️- EXCEEDS MY EXPECTATIONS! TOP QUALITY & MUST HAVE. 20260405 This device comes with very detailed instructions. Operating an IPL device is quite straightforward if you adhere to the instructions. It involves selecting the appropriate intensity level, ensuring that you don’t miss any spots, and maintaining patience and commitment to achieve the desired outcomes. This IPL device offers three modes: FACE, BODY, and VIO (Bikini Area). To avoid repeating the same areas of my body for months, I ensured that I used all three modes each time I used the device. IPL & LASER are both light treatments. The difference is that the LASER is more precise because it has a higher output and requires a professional. IPL is at home, but both achieve the same results. Of course, IPL takes a little longer and is less expensive. I have seen reviews of many IPL hair removal devices that say they used them for a month and didn’t see results, or that the results were minimal. Well, it takes time. If you are committed, patient, and consistent, then any IPL device will work. This particular device is recommended 2-3 times a week for weeks 1 - 4. Then, weeks 5 - 8 1 - 2 times a week. Anything after, use it every other week or once a month for maintenance. Most people want to see results by snapping their fingers, and that will not happen. It takes time, even if you go to a professional and have it done. My advice is that if you are not in the mood to take the time, don’t have the patience, and/or are not going to be committed, then don’t get one of these devices. Maybe a professional would be better, but remember, it’s going to cost you a lot more. It took about two weeks before I started to notice results. I first noticed hair disappearing on the lower part of my legs. My bikini area had spots where the hair didn’t grow back, and other spots where it was finer, thinner & softer. Even though I had spots with NO HAIR growing back, I still go over all the areas regardless. My armpits no longer grow hair, but I still do the treatments once a month. As you’re aware, each treatment takes at least 30-40 minutes. For me, a treatment involves each lower leg, the bikini area, and both armpits. If I also treat the upper legs, bikini area, armpits, and sides of the face, it takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. My legs were the most frustrating. The problem is that I miss areas each time I do a treatment. There’s no way of getting the entire leg each time. I have come up with a pattern that works best for me. I start at my ankle and go around my leg in a circle, spiraling up. I found that going up and down was when I missed the most areas/spots. Doing a spiral has helped me tremendously. On the days I scheduled treatments, I would shave the treatment areas. I also exfoliate the areas using Premium Deep Exfoliating Mitt/Glove 2 Pack. Then, about half an hour after I shave, I start my treatments. KEEP YOUR LEGS CLEAN AND DRY, AND NO LOTIONS. ALWAYS WEAR PROTECTIVE GLASSES! Since I shaved my underarms first, I started there. Those areas take about 5 minutes each. Then I do my bikini area and move on to my legs. If I think I forgot a spot, I return and treat it. I try to pay attention so I don’t miss any areas. Once complete, I apply USDA Certified Jojoba Oil. I feel I need a decent moisturizer, and Jojoba Oil is my go-to. Keeping a detailed schedule of when I was doing the treatments was crucial and extremely helpful. IPL at home is very time-consuming; however, once you get past the month of being consistent with each treatment, the results make it well worth it. Think of all the money you will save by NOT having to buy RAZORS anymore. Not to mention the time saved in the shower. This IPL is a bit pricey for its size, but since it’s from a reputable brand, I understand that I’ll have to pay a bit more for a product that delivers tangible results.

On the first end once I got it to work it did infact work, however it felt like the worst razor burn I've had in my life the next day. This for me lasted one day and then it was done. This product does work if you have the right kind of skin for it. The instructions were difficult for me to get a grasp on and understand the prep, use and after. The whole item itself is compact enough for fair storage in a bathroom however is large enough that if you are low on space this will not fit. It's hard to say weather my experience was user error, my skin tone (I'm light brown almost white) or if the product is to blame for my poor experience but it took way too long to figure out how to use it and then when it came to actually removing hair it also took longer than just shaving at least 3x. Other than my experience the product does look and feel like it was made well and not one of cheap copycat. All in all not a product I would necessarily recommend but not one I would say to avoid.

I am honestly very surprised in the best way. I didn’t expect a lot out of an at-home hair removal tool, like it was almost too good to be true. To test this device, we conducted an experiment: we only used this on my wife’s right leg for a couple months to see if it actually worked. Both legs were shaved at the same time (you have to keep the area you’re treating shaved in order to use it). The results are pictured below, with the right leg having significantly less hair growing in. Although she now has one leg with significantly more hair than the other, I can say I am genuinely impressed. Using it is quite easy, it has multiple settings for when you’re doing body parts vs the face and power levels. The skin you’re treating stays quite cool, but holding it does get warm after awhile, especially if you’re on a higher power setting. A small annoyance with this is that the most comfortable way to hold it is also where all the hot air vents out. This tool is very easy to use, the hardest part is remembering which parts of skin you did already. It does take awhile to get through a whole leg, but you can definitely just watch a video and zone out- this doesn’t require a lot of concentration to get it. It’s also quite forgiving as I forgot for about a week in the middle of my test and still got good results. So far, it’s been quite handy and even during the test, shaving got a lot easier. She only shaved her legs about once a week despite the directions saying to keep the area shaved. It also comes in a nice compact pouch for travel, but it is a soft pouch so not sure how durable that would be. There’s no prep work for the skin, no oils or anything needed. It’s been a great value for money and I honestly didn’t think we could do hair removal at home, but I’m very impressed.

I’ve been using the Dreame Nova IPL Hair Removal device for several weeks now, and I can confidently say it feels like a step up from other at-home IPL devices I’ve tried. This IPL device is one of those “trust the process” kind of tools. If you’re expecting instant results, this ain’t it, but if you stick with it, it really starts to pay off. First off, it’s very beginner-friendly. The instructions are actually clear (rare these days), and the different modes for face, body, and bikini area make it easy to customize. It even helps guide intensity levels, so you’re not just guessing and hoping for the best. The device itself feels high quality and comfortable to use. The cooling feature is a nice touch, it keeps things from getting too “spicy,” which is great if you’re not a fan of pain. And the larger treatment window helps speed things up… although let’s be honest, you’re still committing some time here. Full sessions can take a while, so maybe queue up a podcast or two. Results don’t happen overnight, but after a couple of weeks you’ll start noticing slower regrowth and finer hair. Stick with it, and some areas may stop growing back altogether. The key is consistency, skip sessions and you’re basically just holding a fancy flashlight. Big bonus: you can do everything at home. I have tried home hair removal devices and spa laser hair removal treatments and I was surprised how effective this hair removal device is. It is very easy to use with various settings, depending on the location of hair removal. There is a slight burn or pain at times but is bearable. You can feel it is more subtle when put in the face or vio setting for the more sensitive areas. I haven’t noticed any skin irritation after sessions. I would definitely recommend using the sunglasses provided since the light is bright. I also like the feature where you could have continuous zapping every time you tap a new area. It definitely speeds up the process. The photo shows the difference of using the laser every 2-3 days on the right leg only. There is a noticeable difference in hair growth. You can also see that it is harder to angle the device over bony areas so you have to pay particularly close attention there. This device is definitely worth your money since it is very effective. Also, it is cheaper than going to a spa while also saving you time driving and making appointments. The device is durable with no defects noted. I would recommend this as a cheap and effective way for anyone looking for hair removal in various body parts.
