so the fist one wouldn't turn on or charge but the replacement is perfect. the pricing is really competitive for sure and this is almost an all inclusive kit. it includes 10 needles in the size 1203RL which are 3 round liners and 10 more needles in the 1205RM which are 5 round mags,, i like that includes practice skin, although the skin is literally paper thin, i like that it has transfer paper although there is not stencil stuff for the transfer gel and it should include green soap in my opinion. i would have also liked an instruction booklet since these are the new styles of tattoo machines and i unscrewed the bottom and put the needle in but it wouldn't screw back on which is wrong as it like clicks and twist from the outside or something. also a helpful chart for volt levels for this thing would have been nice but you can always look them up. Its quite, it doesn't vibrate like crazy, its light, easy to hold and comfortable and its up to 12000 RPM which some are rinky dinky 8000 rpm and i like to have the option for the additional power.

I have a handful of budget tattoo pens and in my experience any kit under $100 is usually poor quality. I have seen some change over the past year, though, and there are a couple of very affordable kits that are worth your time. This kit from Dragonhawk is the best I have come across anywhere near its price point. This kit has (nearly) everything you need to begin to learn tattooing. You'll definitely need more practice skins and more nitrile gloves pretty much immediately. This is true with every kit I have ever had. I would also recommend getting some tattoo pen covers to keep things clean and some dental bibs to tape over your work space. The kit doesn't have any pen covers or bibs but those aren't standard on most kits. The pen is shockingly high quality. It has the main safety feature I look for on any budget pen which is that the needle fully retracts when the pen is off. There are so many pens out there that let the tip of the needle hang out of the pen when it is turned off and it is a safety hazard. I don't use any pen that doesn't retract the needle. This Dragonhawk pen has the fully retracted needle safety feature and I really appreciate that. The pen is easy to use with a digital display at the top. The base of the pen twists very smoothly to adjust the needle depth. The pen recharges with a USB-C connection in the top of the pen. It charges pretty quickly. The kit comes with MAST ink. MAST is the parent company of Dragonhawk and they make quality products. I have bought their inks before because they are always highly pigmented and good quality. The kit also comes with 1203 Round liner and 1205 round magnum cartridge needles. The 1203RL is fairly standard. It is a good choice for beginners. The 1205 RM is a little odd of a choice to me. I would have expected a round shader instead of a mag but it will still be worth your time to play around with. You will probably want to buy a box of assorted needle sizes, anyway. Overall, this is a really high quality kit. I would highly recommend this to the beginner tattooist.

This budget kit is honestly not bad especially when it’s on sale for $40. It makes the purchasing choice easier as i feel that is the right price for it. This is a beginners kit and it’s pretty bare bones for the most part but you are getting a decent machine from Dragonhawk that has no vibration felt even at higher voltages, which makes it solid for line work (if you’re still working on yours.) It also sounds like a coil tattoo machine. It’s not quiet, but it sounds like a single coil, rotary machine. I love, love, love that it comes with the color flash but the best part is, it’s been stenciled too, so you can transfer it over to real or fake skin. The work has been done for you. It also comes with some transfer paper and 1 fake skin (1mm size) (Caucasian color). A small btl of blk ink and small bag of ink caps. 3rl and 5rm needles. There are other kits out there for the same price point that may give you more, but Dragonhawk is a good brand that gives you good quality gear. You honestly can’t go wrong with them. The only downside is this machine does not have adjustable needle depth.

This is my first attempt at trying a beginners tattoo kit but something I've been wanting to do for awhile now. The basics are included such as the wireless rechargeable Complete pro tattoo machine, 2 boxes of 10 count each one size tattoo needle cartridges, fake practice skin, tracing paper, a sm. bottle of black ink. a handful of ink cups, stencils & stickers and 1 pair of disposable gloves. I believe this is a very nice beginners tattoo kit. I started with loading a needle and setting up some ink to practice which was very easy to do. There were good instructions all about the tattoo gun uses and clean up but nothing to tell me how to tattoo or use the items supplied in the kit to do it.
