These strings are just plain awesome. I have always used Carvin (La Bella) strings because they are pretty good and the price is right ordering direct from Carvin. These suckers are bright. They have so much more tone than the Carvin strings. I put them on my Carvin IC6P which has a piezo bridge pickup (similar to an acoustic guitar pickup). These really shine when using that pickup. The highs sound sweet and the lows are full. You can really hear the low end vibration more than my old nickel strings. You can hear every nuance clearly. When I play in the upper register, it has that acoustic guitar sound that I love so much. The other nice thing is that, for steel, these strings are very smooth. They don't rough up your hands like Rotosounds do. I'm a believer. I'm never going back to those Carvin strings again. ... show more

Had a set of HiBeams on my 6 string bass,took them off to try another type of string.Found the bass lost the bark, and growl it used to have. Switched back to HiBeams, and my old bass is back again! If your bass pickups seem a little weak,try a set of these,they really add that extra punch.Add that to lasting much longer than any other string I've tried! Bought this in February and we are in May... I don't know why but last night the "E" string just broke while I was practicing.. which is very weird since this had never happen to me before lol.. idk if this set was faulty but that was really strange... i barely did gigs and all were done since Covid-19.. so yeah just practice and they broke lol ... show more
