Ordered Dr. Scholl's Compression Back Support with Massaging Gel to see if the device can bring some relief to my lower back after a long day of sitting or doing yard work. The last couple years or so, I have started to notice that simply sitting at work or doing yard work for a few hours sometimes brings some discomfort to my lower back. After trying this product, I would say this is more of a compression back support item rather than a back brace. In my opinion, it is quite flexible, this the belt does not seem rigid enough for a brace. However, for a compression back support, this product is fantastic. The Dr. Scholl's compression back support is light, adjustable, easy to wear, and has a massaging gel pouch that can be adjusted to a specific position for a more targeted compression. For me, due to the flexibility and comfort, I believe it will work well for wearing during home chores and during workouts. Although I do not feel it meets my definition of a "back brace", I do think it is a great compression device and provides just enough back support to get some relief. Yet, is not too restrictive on one's movements such as bending and twisting. I feel this product can easily be worn all day if need be. It is very comfortable to wear and thin enough to wear it under loose clothing.

This offers really great support and compression on my lower back. It is adjustable in a couple ways to ensure a close, custom fit for anyone's needs. The velcro has a strong hold, keeping the back support in place and keeping compression tight through just about any movements you're doing. It has an adjustable lumbar pad so you can really dial in the fit. I do think this has helped improve my back pain since I started wearing this on-and-off around the house doing chores over the past month, so I think this is worth a try for anyone with lower back pain.

In the US, Dr. Scholl’s is a large player and has been in business a long time. This is a different and nice compression back support with a feature I have not seen in trying quite a few back braces. The different part is the “massaging gel” pad that fits in the lumbar area and the position can be adjusted higher or lower along the 2 sewn-in Velcro strips. This pad has a number (17) of ¾ inch wide firm gel “pimples” that create a nice feeling when the belt is warn. My disappointment is the pad had creases on 2 of the corners and it would not sit flat as designed. In addition, a seam in the back is folded over when it should be flat. I have not encountered these types of issues with any of the many other similar devices I have tried. It is pretty easy to use this brace; position the gel pad and attach the waist belt using the sewn-in Velcro. There is no note in the instructions as to the purpose of 2 attached loop pieces. It has 4 sewn-in support bars, feels pretty good, the belt material seems nice, and it breathes well. I hope the bends / creases noted above will straighten out. Again, it seems to be a good (3.5 stars rounded to 4 stars), moderate support belt but the issues noted above (whether caused by manufacturing or packaging) are somewhat of a disappointment from this stalwart organization.

I think that this compression back support band/belt is really nice. It fits plus size bodies pretty well and stays on even when I move around in it. If I bend over, it shifts slightly up my back so that I have to tug it back down, but that is fine. I wore it for quite a while while maneuvering around the house and taking care of a few things and I found the compression to be very comforting and soothing. The firm support bars inside of the band help to stabilize my lower back and to enhance the compression strength while the gel pouch (which you can adjust the positioning of) simply feels soft and comfortable to me. It has like a gentle massage effect. It doesn’t feel bad to sit down in, either, but if I wriggle around too much or reposition myself too much, then the band does slide up some and I have to readjust it so that the bars don’t become uncomfortable. But, overall, I am happy with the quality and the effectiveness. I’d recommend it!

This Dr. Scholl's compression back brace doesn't really offer much support. The box says it's "medium" support, but that's not my experience with the product. The fabric is super stretchy and folds over easily around the edges while wearing on my back. I like that the size will fit many different body shapes. However, there's just really not much support, so it's just better suited as a compression band rather than a back brace, in my opinion. I don't really feel like the massaging gel part of this does anything special for my back either.

I've been dealing with lower back pain and needed something to wear around the house while doing household chores. This back brace has been very effective. Although it doesn't offer the highest level of support, the product description does state that it provides medium support (Level 2). For those needing more support, they should consider ordering Level 3. It's comfortable to wear and does offer me effective support. The added massage gel helps absorb shock, and the four flexible stabilizers provide significant support. The sizing chart is very accurate for me. I've been feeling better every day, and I attribute it to wearing this brace.

This Dr. Scholl’s back brace provided immediate relief to an overworked lower back. It can easily be worn under clothes and is so comfortable that you almost forget about it. It has gel pads and 4 flexible stabilizers for all day support. The box indicates that the level of support is medium (15mmhg). The brace is made of knitted nylon and has a strong Velcro closure that is adjustable. What’s nice is that this brace also helps reinforce proper posture, which aids in the healing process.
