I really like the looks of the Doc Martens 1460. I've owned them in the past, but it's been a while and I was missing them. I like the steel toe version because the toe area is roomier and I find them way more comfortable. I was looking for some made in England ones, but discovered they no longer make the steel toes in England. Next I discovered that DM doesn't have any steel toe boots at all on their website regardless of where they are made. Then I found these on Amazon. They are made in Vietnam, but are super nice and comfortable after a short break-in. Get them now because they may be the last of the steel toe Doc Martens!

I've had these a little over a month now, and I must say I'm very impressed with how comfortable they are, even out of the box. This is far from my first pair of Docs, and while they certainly do still leave your heels in blisters for the first few weeks, this is the first pair I've ever broken in that didn't immediately claim a pint of my blood (moleskin and athletic tape still very strongly recommended). The quality of the leather is... interesting. I actually had to examine them very carefully to make sure that it was, in fact, leather and not a counterfeit - they ship with some kind of strange plastic-y coating on the leather, I'm guessing for some kind of chemical resistance or other OSHA-related reason, and this makes them very squeaky initially and changes the way that the leather breaks in. I've now oiled them twice with shoe oil and the leather is much softer and actually leather-like (and no longer squeaky). Size wise, I would recommend going with your usual size. I wear a men's 8.5, women's 10.5-11, and the men's size 9 fits me perfectly. In other words, love these boots, weird leather coating and all. Will likely buy another pair.

I usually wear a 10 in shoes and a 10.5 in boots. I ordered a 11 in these because of the steel toe. I have a wide foot and these fit great. There def is a break in period I noticed after my first 12 hour shift. One pressure point is the beading at the top of the boot digs into my leg. The insoles that come with these boots are really uncomfortable and strange. I put the Easy Feet insoles in mine and they feel great.

Been wearing docs for years the quality has went down since moving the operations to China but overall still enough quality to stay $175 and will last a year in a fast paced factory environment. I did notice they upgraded the soles that now have better traction yet to be determined how this will do over the course of the year IMO there is no better looking boot and have a wide base so never feel the steel on the sides very comfortable on concrete for long periods

I usually wear a size 12 in shoes. Bought an 11 and it fits almost perfectly. Still breaking them in but they're fairly comfortable already & they look great. Not bad for the money.
