i have either a really annoying sprain or permanent defect in my wrist on my thumb side for over 2 months now. it hurts most when i wake up which makes me think is the cause of it in the first place. sleeping on it funny, etc. i never injured it during the day that i can recall any sort of painful incident, just woke up one day and it never went away. This brace is the first that I can keep on for extended periods of time. it does not swell my fingers. I didn't think it would work so well because, as other reviews have said, it is not very tight and you can still move your wrist a good bit. but it didn't take long to appreciate the method to the madness. It is intended for daily life use. therefore i find it very good compared to other braces, i can still do 90% of the things i need to do around the house and at work. and this is when you notice the support the brace does provide. it's subtle but its there. If you're looking for a full blown compression wrap with purple fingers this is the not the brace's intended function. I would not use it for serious injury. i have not slept in it yet but i might give it a try. it is light weight and almost unnoticeable to wear until you have to use the hand it's on. it also stays cool as advertised, it doesn't sweat. the stitching others have said on the thumb is there, but doesn't bother me. fyi - the reason it is not fully compressed is because the straps don't wrap around the entire brace. the buckles are on the pinky side of the wrist, the straps goes under the wrist, and the velcro sticks somewhere on the under side of the wrist or the thumb side, depending on your size, but not all the way around. i think this is why users report a feeling of un-stable or lack of compression, loose-fitting, etc. ... show more

I’m new to this whole Carpal Tunnel Syndrome thing. It started with this tingly feeling in my right middle finger every morning when I woke up. I figured it was a sign telling me I needed to start flicking people off, but then the tingly feeling started in my index finger too. When it started lasting longer and happening throughout the day, and when I started waking up in excruciating pain all hours of the night, I went to my doctor. She told me I needed to get a brace and wear it at night so that I don’t bend my wrist, and she said I needed to do physical therapy. I bought this wrist brace and as soon as I put it on, my middle finger kept tingling. I then wore it to bed and I didn’t wake up in pain at all. It was the best sleep I’ve had in quite some time! My only issue is that my middle finger still keeps tingling every time I wear it, but it happens off and on when I’m not wearing it too. That’s just something I’m going to have to figure out with my doctor. It’s not because of the brace. This brace is comfortable, the size fits perfect, it’s made of good quality material, and it’s so light that I barely notice that I have anything on. I highly recommend! ... show more

Comfortable, but snug fit. Helps me sleep at night by providing relief from painful carpal symptoms. High quality, breathable materials greatly reduce sweat under the brace. I love the little padded cushion on the palm side of the brace - it provides an elevated comfort. Overall, great product especially for the price point. My only issue is that, I think 3 closure velcro straps, instead of 2, would allow wearers to customize the fit even better. I have small wrists, big hands and muscular forearms. Moving the current top strap down a little and adding a third strap closer to the top would allow me a perfect fit. Very happy with the product, though! ... show more

    • 2nd Wrist Support I've Tried - Finally One That Works!

I have arthritis in my hands and wrist. I was also put on a statin (had to stop taking after 3weeks) which caused severe nerve pain in all my joints. I tried compression gloves with another wrist support, as I use my hands a lot for artwork and computer work. The first wrist support I tried, provided great support; however, the straps were impossible for me to open without using so much force that it hurt my wrists. The straps on this support are both secure and very easy to open. The padded palm insert allows for a nice tight fit, where other supports leave an awkward gap on the palm. I wear this support day and night. It eliminates the nerve and arthritis pain in my wrist. I do wear my compression glove underneath this support when my finger joints are flaring. Wearing both is surprisingly comfortable - a little warm, but they fit well together. The biggest problem I have is remembering to take it off while handling food and water related activities!
