I have a 2.5 year old rescue Jackhuahua. When he first "adopted his humans at the shelter" a year and a half ago, he would literally eat his kibble so fast (Hills Ideal Balance Small Breed), that we had to get him a puzzle bowl. Fast forward to a year later, he decided he hated all dog food and wanted to live on soley grilled chicken, cheese and treats. This became a frustrating time- his vet insisted he was healthy, "he's just spoiled. Lay off the treats, and he'll eat when he is hungry..." (as she proceeded to give him many treats...), his humans spent hundreds of dollars on different types of wet and dry dog food, and the little guy went on a hunger strike as he would turn his nose up. After having him fitted for a new harness at a boutique pet store (his Jack Russell chest and tiny Chihuahua body make him an odd size), the very kind manager sent us home with a variety of dog food samples, including 3 from Fromm. We offered them to him as "treats" initially, and the only one he actually liked was the Fromm's Gold. The kibble size is smaller, and we ordered immediately from Amazon. While he is still a picky eater (yet, he has never met a treat he does not like), he will actually eat his Fromm's when he is hungry. I feel better as a pet parent knowing he is actually getting a quality product and good nutrition. ... show more

I believe that Fromm has very nutritious benefits for my dogs. Another brand was recommended to me but it just didn’t measure up. Thank you Fromm for a great product!

    • A little pricey, but worth it. Our dog's breeder strongly recommended it.

We use this for our long-haired chihuahua because her breeder (who works exclusively with that breed) recommended it. She likes it and does not tend to over eat. She has a shiny coat and has not yet been sick (1.5 years old), so I assume it has been healthy for her.
