My first impressions about this product wasn't very favorable, but after 6 months of using it my mind and experience have changed. I work in front of my computer more than 8hours/day, and I also often sleep on this chair--so let's say I use this chair around 15hours/day. I'm 200lbs with a bad back that requires PT, and I often sit at an awkward position. After 6 months of using this chair I begun to realize it's virtues and advantages over other chairs. First of all, the quality of its materials is top ranked. It still looks and feels brand new after 6 months of use, and it's cushions is the same as new. The fabric is warm even in cold temperatures, and no freeze jolt on bare skin that's experienced with synthetic leathers. The cushion is still like brand new, it's firm but I use a memory-foam chair topper for comfort and spine support. The build of this chair is very sturdy, though I had to contact the seller for a replacement part when it wore down. The seller, btw, was very attentive and worked immediately to resolve the issue at no extra cost. The build of the chair is similar to a racing car chair design--form fitting, sturdy, and firm. At first I didn't liked it, but after 6 months of use I begin to find it very comfortable. I feel confident when I put my full weight on the chair with my legs curled up under me, and rocks back and forth. When I recline the chair when I want to sleep in it, I never have to worry if the chair would tip over. In fact it never tipped over on me, eventhough I've been through many position and put it to the limit. The balance is well designed, and I do believe that it's engineers did physics calculations for optimal balance in every angle. Though it's true that the chair could slip away when leaning forward, but that's only on hard floor when it's wheels could freely roll away. I've put furniture sliders under the wheels, cause it's much more convenient sliding the chair into position--rather than repositioning the chair over and over again because it keep rolling away. Overall, I really like this chair and it's compact design is perfect in our small room. The material and build quality is superior, as well as the comfort level. I no longer also missed my old chair. Previous Review: I look at other chairs with jealousy and look back on this chair with disappointment. If you're 5'4 and taller, you will hate this chair. It's very cramped and uncomfortable, and I keep sliding off the chair when I try to relax on it. I've also developed a back pain, from mid to upper part of my back. Which could only be resolved from getting off this chair and lying on my back. I work at home and spend a lot of time on this chair (approx 6 to 9 hour/day). I enjoyed my work before I ended up with this chair. Now I dread sitting on it even for just an hour. I gave my old chair to my dad, and everytime I see it I look at it filled with nostalgia and longing... ironically my old chair is also a Dowinx, the older version. ... show more

After ordering, the window of delivery was wide. I did not think I would receive the chair until next month, but arrived within a week (received on 06/29/2024)! Assembling the chair was a no-brainer, meaning I did not even have use the manual to assemble the chair, pretty straight forward. The screws were in their location already, so just unscrew and place the required item and screw back on (just like a puzzle). The only screws that weren't in place were the black screws that hold the plastic cover for the chair's backrest brackets. All tools required to assemble the chair were included. Took about forty-five minutes to an hour assembling the chair by myself. One of the reasons I chose this specific chair was the armrest. When assembling, installing the armrest was optional. I decided not install the armrest. I do not like armrests on my chair, as I feel enclosed within my chair. :-D This is replacing my five-year-old Amazon Basics chair, when after assembling found out that the armrest is what holds the backrest. Lesson learned! The Amazon Basics chair was OK, there was nothing "wrong" with the chair per say, but after five years, the squeaking every time I moved was driving me crazy! I was worried with some of the negative reviews I saw about this chair, but I have not experienced any. The armrest seemed wobbly from what I can tell, just by holding the armrest, but I did not install, so not a concern for me. Some reviews stated that they received the manual and English was not included. I received a manual with English being one of the language (see image). Dowinx also emailed me after I ordered stating that the manual might not contain English, and provided a website URL to an English version. A plus for Dowinx! I did not follow the link, so I cannot verify or provide feedback. I am always cautious in following links in email, unless really required. The lumar support pillow has a vibrating motor. When plugged in the USB port the motor starts to vibrate. I did not find this option beneficial, so I removed the motor from the pillow, rather than having to fiddle/hide the USB wire/connector. I guess I could have placed the wire into the pillow, as there is a zipper, but I did not want to find out in the future that the motor was causing me discomfort. The Dowinx Gaming chair feels comfortable, although the chair is a bit high for me at the chair's lowest level. I am 5' 6" and although my feet are flat on the floor while sitting in the chair, I feel pressure in the back of my legs, but I have a footrest that I was using with my previous chair, so not a big thing for me. Also, to rock back and forth, I have to tippy-toes, unless I am using my footrest. Just letting anyone that is 5' 6" and below to be aware when purchasing this chair. I really like this chair and hope that this chair will last me as long, or even longer, than the Amazon Basics chair did. ... show more
