I chose this product because I wanted just a calcium supplement. This was rather difficult to find because the majority of companies want to pair it off with other supplements like vitamin D and magnesium. The issue for me is, I already have just a vitamin D supplement, so I don't any excess vitamin D. This product filled that void perfectly. I also like that it comes in a 250 mg per pill dosage, makes much easier adjust the amount I want to take daily. The pills are rather large. I take 3 at a time, but swallowing pills has never really been an issue for me.

I was told by my doctor that I needed to start taking 1200 mg of calcium, so I bought some calcium not realizing there are different forms of calcium. The one I bought was calcium carbonate, which gave me stomach upset and constipation, so I switch to calcium citrate and . . . .what a difference! No stomach upset and no constipation. The only draw for me with this product is that it only comes in 250 mg caplets, so I have to take 5 a day. It would be nice to take two 600 mg a day

This is a great Calcium supplement for anyone with any auto-immune disease, but particularly for sarcoid. The administration of moderate to high doses of corticosteroids is associated with bone loss. Since Prednisone or other corticosteroids is the primary form of treatment for Sarcoid, it's important to get calcium. However, Sarcoid (and other auto-immune diseases) also makes your stomach so much more sensitive to so many supplements. Calcium Citrate is one of the most easily tolerated/digested forms of calcium. Most importantly, for someone with Sarcoid, it's important to avoid Vitamin D, as Sarcoid converts inactive Vitamin D to its active form. This is the single best calcium supplement I have found for someone with sarcoid. Actually, it is the ONLY calcium supplement I found to have been independently verified by a lab (Consumerlab.com) to contain exactly what it says, to not upset the stomach, and that does NOT contain Vitamin D. Unless they go changing things, this is the calcium supplement I will be taking for the rest of my life.

I put the entire bottle in grinder. Mix two tsps of calcium in water to make a paste. I put this on his raw food. If the dog does not get calcium from the bones of the food, the calcium leeches from its bones. So many people in the United States remain ignorant and cause the animal to suffer on purpose. Give your dog ample calcium in a paste. They needs a lot of calcium. If you pet gets osteoporosis it is your fault. Look at all the sick people in usa that choose not to invest in there health. Same goes for your dog. Give the dog calcium without D3.

pills are way too big to swallow, and even when cut in half, they get stuck in my throat. Just awful. And I usually have not trouble with large pills! Disappointing because I want calcium citrate.

I like this calcium supplement because it doesn't have a bunch of additives and each tablet contains 19% of your daily requirement. I have a hard time swallowing pills sometimes, but I just take a sip of water and let these dissolve somewhat before swallowing. Douglas Labs makes some of the best supplements that I've tried.

I take this calcium everyday and each year my calcium levels are good when checked. I buy this brand because it doesn't have other minerals in it, and that allows me to control the amount of D3 that I take. Too much D3 is harmful. Also citrate is the easiest to assimilate by the body.

I'm really not sure how to honestly rate a vitamin. Most vitamins end up as expensive urine, and I've not noticed any real physical differences. I take Calcium Citrate on advice of my doctors, who are treating me for low vitamin D, with prescription strength D. I can say that my D levels have greatly risen to nearly borderline normal. I can also say that this Calcium has given me no noticeable side effects, nor made me ill. And for that, I'll give it 5 stars.
