After a short while of regular morning use to blend and froth coffee and creamer, it stopped working. I opened it to examine the batteries. Can you believe that the contacts were already corroded? Mind you, I used brand new batteries and was very careful when cleaning it. I made sure not to get the battery compartment wet. Luckily, I was able to remove the old batteries and use a nail file to remove the corrosion and rust. A new set of batteries and it's working normally again. I wouldn't recommend this frother because of this issue, as well as another design flaw. The on button must be continually pressed to keep it going. I would prefer the button to be on the side as I feel it would be more ergonomic. I do like the super power it has. However, make sure your cup is much deeper than the level of your coffee. Don't fill it to the brim then whisk away. You'll be wearing a hot mess! In summary, a better sealed battery compartment, relocation of the on switch, and a longer whisk would make this absolutely perfect. For the price, it's not too bad. ... show more

Edit: I'm surprised that the whisk lasted as long as it did according to other reviews that it lasted less time. I've used the almost daily for my morning coffee for work and water mixes. At first this whisk was amazing. Then I started noticing in the last 2 weeks that it wasn't as powerful, so I figured that hopefully it was just the batties going bad. I just finished mixing my drink and the whisk shut off. I put multiple brand new batteries in it, it turned on once for a few seconds and died back out. Now there's a faint smell of something burning from the whisk. I'm guessing that the little motor blew. And my window to return the whisk just closed. 👎🏼 ----------------------------------------- I love this whisk. It's quite powerful. The only downfall is that it doesn't come with a stand. (which I knew purchasing this) I kept it in my drawer, but I'd forget about it and it was also a PITA trying to set it upright to dry. So, I ended up finding just the stand and purchasing that separately. It's easy to clean. Especially if you use a straw cleaning brush on it to clean the whisk itself. The metal whisk does not come off to wash separately. It's easy to mix 8oz of liquid and I can get away mixing 10oz but nothing more than that due to being sure to keep liquid away from the battery compartment. ... show more

This little kitchen tool is powerful! If you need froth on your coffee or your milk this will more than do the trick. It has only one speed which is super fast so it doesn't really work for mixing ingredients if you don't want the foam. Really easy to use. Just push the button on the top and it starts working. Keep in mind that the speed can not be adjusted. I use it to mix a powder in a glass of orange juice and I just do bits at a time to avoid the froth. It works just fine for me. Love using this little guy to ship together my various powdered healthy cocktails. Blends my Garden of Alice greens, Calm magnesium and psyllium husk. Quick rinse. Then blends the vital proteins collagen and 1T MCT oil in my coffee. Love it! No oil staying on the top.
