These are great radios, I've purchased two of them now and had really no issues. They are capacitive touch, so you don't have that mushy feel you get with cheaper radios. Tons of configuration options, you can customize the boot screen, and it supports cameras, subwoofers, rear speakers. Installation is so easy - buy the correct mounting bracket (Scosche makes pretty much one for every car) and then also buy a wiring harness adapter for your car. This allows you to wire your new stereo to the adapter and then plug into your existing wiring harness in your vehicle. No cutting any factory wires! If you have an amp plug it into the back, then push it into place. It's that easy. Carplay works pretty much immediately after connecting Bluetooth. The screen is very clear and dims correctly. I wish it were bigger, but that's a restriction on the DIN size in my truck rather than the stereo. I also really like having the physical knob for the volume for quick adjustment. This unit also feels a bit heavier than my previous one which I think makes it better built, but who knows. Overall I have no complaints and it's a fantastic upgrade for an older vehicle. Wireless CarPlay is so killer. The kit comes with a backup camera and all the wiring. Only thing that would be nice is a microphone.

For such an affordable price, you get so many features! This unit was so easy to install. Clear instructions in the booklet, just match up your wires and clip them together and that's it. Plugged in the backup camera, comes on instantly when car in reverse. Setup Car Play wirelessly, only took a few seconds, and my music and maps were on screen. You can even do split view with maps on left, and music on the right. Excellent user interface, radio is super easy to tune, set your preset stations. Steering wheel control mapping is simple. Touch screen works great. seriously, if you still have that old factory radio, you NEED this radio. you won't believe how much you've been missing.

I was in need of a radio that supported wireless Android Auto for a project that I am putting together. Although this isn't going into a vehicle, at least right away, it is connected to a full 4 channel, 6.5" speaker system and sounds fantastic! The rear view camera is also surprising great as well. Connecting my phone to the head unit took all of 30 seconds and works as one would expect. Documentation is great, manufacture support is great, screen quality is great, audio is great, and build quality is good. My only gripe would be that the buttons do feel a bit on the cheaper side. That said, it is $100, I can't even truly call this as a negative at this price. They still work great, just don't have as premium of a feel as the rest of the radio. In the end, I highly recommend this for anyone, not just anyone on a budget.

Delivery was fast! Install was simple. I need to look into why the steering wheel programming isn’t working, but I think it is programming related which I will get on to this week. So far all elements work beautifully. CarPlay is fast, microphone works well and the remote functions as intended. Once I finish the programming of access swc I will update. Installation of camera will be done this week as well. Will also do a 6 month update on how this is functioning still.

I swapped the OEM head unit installed my daughter’s car ( 2006 Volvo V70) with this in order to add apple CarPlay functionality and more importantly a backup camera. Installation wasn’t very hard. I didn’t want to splice the car’s original wiring so I did get a Volvo to double din conversion kit and it now looks factory! The connection is almost instant, the sound quality is superb and the backup camera quality is fantastic even at night. I do recommend getting a din conversion kit for your car, made my life so much easier. The kit does come with a trim removal tool but it’s flimsy and I didn’t use that ( I have my own) installing the rear camera can be a challenge depending on your car. I had to very much dismantle the trunk door but it was straight forward and the instructions are simple and easy to follow. Highly recommended upgrade

This is the second head unit for as many cars that we have installed to update a tired OEM experience. These are well equipped and loaded with features. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Screen mirroring (wired) Front and rear camera inputs. Sub and Amplifier out puts. Auxiliary inputs both video and audio (add an Xbox or other HDMI device to your car). Great quality screen - Touchscreen Physical volume knob (on an older unit I have trouble with the volume knob changing the volume in the appropriate direction when turning the knob. It still works just takes a few extra twists. This one is working fine.) Here are some tips and steps from installation: Tools - wire strippers, trim removal tool, flat head and Phillips head screwdriver, socket wrench with various sized sockets for head unit removal, electrical tape, wire nuts. Parts - Kissound head unit, OEM specific wiring harness adapter Note: remove the negative battery terminal before installation 1. Using trim removal tool pull back the trim around the head unit 2. Remove head unit (mine required 8mm socket to remove two bolts 3. Unplug vehicle wiring harness from the OEM head unit 4. Splice your OEM wire harness adapter into the included wire harness using electrical tape and/or wire nuts; make loose connections and test before tightening everything down. 5. Plug the newly spliced harness into the vehicle wiring harness and the back of the new head unit 6. Connect battery and test the new head unit; once you have run a successful test you can tighten your wires 7. Secure your head unit to the vehicle 8. Replace trim 9. Enjoy! Great value for the price and cheapest way to add wireless CarPlay to an aging vehicle!
