I got this rope to help with several projects around here. I don't climb rocks, and I only do easy "homeowner" tree pruning and removal, so keep that in mind. I found the rope to be very good quality considering the price. It has a little give/stretch to it. But I find that to be a positive thing, as in it's less likely to snap under a sudden shift in the load. We doubled it up and were able to pull my kid's pickup out of the mud. All in all, I would recommend it.

The rope core and sheath are very supple, it feels like a dynamic rope and not a static line. It was a great price at the time of the sale, I've rock climbed for years and while this rope is on the thin side it's made very well like a high quality rock climbing rope. This would function great for tire swings, rope swings, kids play set or climbing rope over water. Always be safe and make your own judgement with ropes and how you use them. This would be a perfect rope swing into a lake just make sure to take it down and not leave it in the UV light. The ends of the rope are heat sealed and the poly core is very dense.

I used to direct ropes courses and always love a beautiful new climbing rope! I was never the one who actually ordered equipment, though I know how to inspect and maintain it. What I can include for you is the inspection report from the testing of this rope (in case you didn't see it in the description). It was not included in the box. I actually intend to send the information on this rope to some climbing friends to check out. So if, you're a bit unfamiliar with equipment, I suggest you do the same before using it for something your life depends on. It did pass the EN892 at 12 kN.
